My warband consists o 6 murlocs. I put down my new Amalgadon, and it adapts 2 times and get's divine shield and poisonous. Why does it adapt twice and not just once?
Isn't battlecry supposed to take place before the minion hits the board? It may be inconsistent just like with many more cards IMHO.
That's actually a common misconception. Battlecry does take into account the Battlecry minion itself, that's why cards like Deathwing say "Destroy all other minions."

Because Almagadon itself has a minion type.
