ManaGrind is proud to announce that we are collaborating with Major League Gaming (MLG) http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/ to grow and expand the competitive Hearthstone community. We have been working very hard the past few months trying to establish a competitive scene and are taking the next steps to bring this dream to fruition.
After receiving feedback from the previous tournaments we have changed a few things including:
NA now starts at 2pm EST (Previously did at 4pm EST)
EU now starts at 6pm CET (Previously did at 7pm CET)
Added to [General] rules: "All players must enter their Battle Tag in the "Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft player name" Section when creating their team."
People seemed confused with the old rule being "Players may use any hero class for Game 1. The winner of a Game must select the same hero class for the following Game, but may change cards in the deck. The loser of a Game may choose any hero class and deck."
The new rule is "Both players are allowed to switch between Heroes whenever a new round starts. For the remainder of the round, each player must keep the same Hero but can sideboard and/or modify their deck after each game of the Bo3"
The top four placing players will be contacted by a ManaGrind Representative to acquire your deck lists. The 1st place finisher will be asked to have an exclusive interview with one of the ManaGrind managers.
Come and compete with some of the best players Hearthstone has to offer! Anyone with beta access is encouraged to sign up and join in on the fun. Do not be discouraged by the big names that will most likely be joining, this is your chance to grow as a player and expand your skill set. It is an important milestone in all Hearthstone players careers. There are prizes to be won in the form of MLG credits which can be used to join buy in seats for paid prize pool tournaments in the future.
We have answered that question in our last post, the MLG platform is not able to support Swiss at this moment. ManaGrind is looking into making Swiss tournaments on Fridays. Stay tuned!

Is there potential for these matches to be streamed similar to the Innkeeper's invitational? It was incredibly entertaining and informative.
Unfortunately there is no spectator mode allowing us to stream the competition, yet we are working on something for the future. However there are a lot of people who stream the tournament on Twitch as it is happening hence that would be the closest thing to spectating we would have at the moment.
Hey i was trying to watch the tourney today and was unable to find a single player who had MLG in their title streaming.. Including you btw.. So if people are streaming would be awesome if you could ask them to include their stream address in their comments in sign up please

So basically,
if I choose Rexxar for the game I am not allowed to choose a different hero in between the bo3??? I must finish the bo3 with Rexxar? Is that correct? Because if so then count me out of the tournament...
Eu time to change puts me out of tourneys from now on :(
I am not sure I understand what you are trying to say but if it is regarding the EU time change, it is earlier and much better for the majority of participants.
MLG had to reset the EU tournament right after it started due to some people being locked out of it. All games have been reset and the tournament is currently starting.
Seems this reschedule has caught people off guard.
How do I report no-show if match support only works for "premium" members?
The support works for non-premium members. I had an issue during my first round because my opponent didn't have his Battletag in his team info and they helped me resolve the issue.
To be honest till now its the worst tournament I have ever played organization wise.
The brakets takes ages to update, I won my game 2-1 and still the previous round needs to be updated (both of us did the ticket etc). I don't know whats going on but its pretty annoying.
This was the first Hearthstone tournament I've played in, and I had a great experience. I played in 5 rounds, and only had an issue once when one of my opponents didn't realize he had to report the match as well (it was the first round and I don't think he really read through the rules) The brackets updated immediately in every other match, so I expect your opponent didn't update as quickly as you think or your opponent for your next round hadn't finished his previous match as quickly as you did.

still no swiss style then?
Will one of the tournaments ever be held on a weekday for those of us who'd love to participate but work on weekends? Just curious =)
We have answered that question in our last post, the MLG platform is not able to support Swiss at this moment. ManaGrind is looking into making Swiss tournaments on Fridays. Stay tuned!

Good question! Yes we are looking into expanding on weekday tournaments we just haven't determined our set schedule yet.

about the streaming.. could you ask participants to include their Twitch link (if they are streaming) in their team blast info during signup
Also im having to rename my team every week are they working on this aspect of the signups
People usually include MLG tournament in the title of their stream and yes you need to make a new team every week for now and they are working on it.
