Just out of interest what did people think about year long stories we had when we had the league of villains clash with the league of explorers last year?
Personally I hope they bring back year long stories or have 2 expansions in a year tell a story, just as I feel like It is fun to have the same characters come back for a lore and story point of view.
This year I felt like having different expansion was alot of fun, but lacked the same story telling and lore as the year before. Without single player expansion telling stories of the different areas anymore, I personally have felt a lack of interest in all the different expansion characters.
Would you like to see a year long story return this year or in the near future?
I think what they did with the year of the dragon was very cool. and I'd like to see it again.
Personally, one thing I'd like to see more of is cards related to adventures that have meaningful impacts on the game.
For example, The Amazing Reno is a great card that I still like to play in my slower mage decks, and it's great because it reminds me of the adventure and the battle with Galakrond. And since it was a "reward" for buying that wing of the adventure and beating it, it all ties it together in my memory.
Maybe if they did more adventures with "unlockable" cards at the end, it would be fun and memorable. But of course, there is always the money aspect. They aren't likely to make a new free adventure that gives you legendaries at the end.
It's obvious that the release of the darkmoon races mini set was well received, so they will probably do more like this next time anyway.
I didn't really like last years story that much, the hearthstone lore characters are a bit childish in my opinion. I do agree with the fact that there should be at least some kind of lore with each expansion.
Mean streets of gadgetzan is a great example. It was probably one of the worst expansions gameplay wise, but it had one of the best themes in my opinion.
i would vote for an ongoing story throughout the world... with sevreal main characters... meeting eachother on the way and continuing their own paths etc...
