I'm a sucker for the Paladin class and try to complete my personal Quest of a full golden Paladin collection. I have all the legendaries in golden versions (yes, even Bolvar) and plan to craft the 2 new Paladin legendaries immediately in a golden version. My Question is, can I then still get the non-golden versions in packs? If that's the case I would open my packs first, and craft the golden ones afterwards.

If you craft golven versions you cant get that legendary before you have you have got all other legendary in that set. That's why im gonna right away make that golden paladin death knight before opening any packs.
No, actually, you won't, as I remember. "Once you own either the golden or non-golden version of a Legendary card, you won’t get a duplicate of it until you own all the Legendary cards from that set."
According to the new rules you can't get any duplicate legendary so long as, at the time of opening the pack, you have at least one uncollected legendary (this includes legendaries you previously earned and dusted, i.e. for all intents and purposes they also count as uncollected). I guess this is also where I should issue my suggestion for anybody to not disenchant any legendary (yes even the Princes), because the 400 dust payoff isn't worth the risk of rerolling a bad legendary, and if you plan to even collect about half the legendaries from the set its much better to just keep the bad ones to make it more likely your next one will be 1600 dust (if its something you want this is the effective dust gain you get).
yes you can still open non golden legendaries. they cound separately
No, he can't. If he crafts Uther DK and the new Bolvar both in gold from day one he's not gonna open them until he collects all the legendaries of KOFT. Only from that point there is the risk to open them again.

This isn't true. You can get up to 1 copy of any legendary until you have 1 of all of them with the new rules (be those golden / non-golden). Once you have reached one of each then you can get any legendary (i.e. the same way things are now). The only things that are separate are pity timers for legendary / golden legendary.
After you crafted golden legendary you will not get nor golden nor normal version of it till got every legendary in the expansion.
I recommend craft first and then open Frozen Throne packs because if you get for example non golden hero legendary you will desenchant it anyway to make it golden, so you will lose some dust.
Noo don't spend 3.2k on just an accessory gold card, donate it to me :(
It's not accessory I'm afraid, I play all sorts of wacky Paladin decks :P Uther looks great though. 2 mana 2/2 is a really good heropower. With the possibility of just ending the game :D

Just one thing I haven't read anywhere about: Let's say I have a normal non-golden Uther DK copy. I cannot get another copy of it, but does that regard only non-golden or golden as well? Because I don't like to be denied the chance of opening a golden legendary because I have the regular non-golden version, that would suck balls.
With what the other guys just wrote here, I would assume that it works in both directions. So if you have a normal legendary, you cannot open its golden version unless you have all the cards of the set

Until you complete the full set of legendaries you can't get a golden of any you own and once you have them all if you get extremely unlucky you could get a second copy of the same legendary goldens you have. Overall the change is still very good since its estimated you get a golden legendary in about 200 packs (which is less than most people manage per set I guess), whereas the other change (i.e. no duplicates) should have a very considerable and noticeable change in the collections of people who can't buy the set on release.
The legendary dupe protection preventing golden legendaries is a major kick in the nuts. There's nothing good about it, they should be two different pools, like they are on the pity timer. I seriously hope that is either not the way it works or that it's not the day it is supposed to work because it's just plain dumb.
I think you are misreading it. It doesn't STOP golden legendaries.
What rarity it is is preset before the card is even determined. That is, the game knows the card is legendary or golden rare or what not before it knows what card it will be. Meanwhile both legendary and golden legendary ARE on different timers and do not compete with each other.
What the change does is determine WHICH card you get. For example, if I craft a Malygos then open a pack that's pegged with a golden legendary, I still get the golden legendary, but it WON'T be a Malygos. It'll instead be a legendary I don't currently have (i.e. TIrion or Millhouse). You still get the golden card. You just won't get a duplicate.
For free players, this means you won't waste a legendary card on a duplicate. Instead of getting a legendary that you already have you'll get one you don't. The worst this creates is that every golden legendayr you get WILL be of a legendary you don't have, creating that odd "Do I dust the golden or keep it because I don't have it yet?" feeling, though honestly that's not a big problem.
For cash folks that aren't whales, this is very useful. Many people like to craft golden legendaries of VERY key cards and have the rest of their legendaries as normal ones. In the past, this created a risk where you would craft the golden then get the normal later on in a pack, which is a waste. Now, if you make sure to craft your goldens FIRST, you'll be sure that any legendary you get will be among the ones that you didn't craft, saving dust overall.
Point is, no this doesn't prevent goldens. It just determines what cards those goldens will be.

No you can't get the normal version in packs anymore, UNLESS you have every legendary in the set then duplicates are possible again.

I really feel like Golden cards should have a extra small bonus. Like +1 attack or maybe cost 1 less mana.
Hopefully Blizzard implements this sooner then later.
