Add Pauper as a casual format. For those unfamiliar with pauper it is an mtg format in which only commons are used. This would make it so new f2p players would have access to building evenly powered decks to complete their daily with and what more perfect time to implement a fix like this then when there's talk of releasing all old adventures and sets for purchase again. Then you don't have to worry about getting new friends that don't want to pay to play the game to try it out and not get their butts kicked every game because of the terrible match making just tell them to build and play pauper while they learn
By giving new players a format to play where they can easily access all the cards they need, you reduce the incentive for them to buy packs. ActiBlizzard needs new players to struggle initially and see other players dropping cool legendaries to entice them to spend money on packs. Pauper format will never happen as it would cost ActiBlizzard too much in lost pack sales.
Part of the excitement of the game is acquiring new cards to build and enhance your deck. You replace a Bloodfen Raptor with a Crackling Razormaw and you start to do better. You get an Explosive Trap in a tavern brawl pack and add it to your deck - then you spank some shaman who pukes out 4 murlocs by turn 2. The real problem is the 'I want it now' crowd that expects to play Tier 1 meta decks without spending a cent on the game. Pauper mode won't help because they will be butthurt that they are stuck in Pauper.
It would be used as a channel for new f2p players to complete their quests and build their collection without losing interest from getting constantly stomped by net deckers with huge collections completing theirs. It would not be a competitive mode just casual and it would also let cards that never see any sort of play anymore get used again. In the long run what's better for the company then more people playing their game.
The idea may be good but will shut down the need for improvement and it will results in less pack for Blizzard, so it won't never happen. On top of this in the actual meta you can reach pretty decent Rank also with cheap aggro deck (Pirate Warrior, Midrange Hunter, etc.) so F2P players should not have this much problem getting some decent reward.
But I agree that new players may need a bit more help getting started.

speed, momentum, violence

Keep Calm and RAG FACE
Seems nice, but from a company standpoint Blizzard would fear the possible loss-in-profit projections. Would make for a good tavern brawl though.
That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
