Welcome to the second round of the weekly competition, which will decide the best custom card of all the hundreds that will enter the competition. The winning card will be decided by vote, each round will have nine cards and the top three cards by vote in each round will advance into the next "circle". The final number of rounds has not been decided yet, it will depend on the amount of interest the competition will have.
Rules: - 9 player made cards will enter each round - The cards that enter will fit a certain theme, might it be abilities, cost or minion type - After 4 days the top three cards will be selected - Feel free to not only vote, but post your thoughts, opinions or insight on either of the cards or maybe even all of them
Rate the cards from best to worst, the criteria is your opinion on how well: - The card is balanced - The card would fit the game - The card is designed - The the art fits the card
If you want to submit your own cards, feel free to send me a PM and I will try to add them to one of the rounds.
The theme of Round #3 - Dragons
#1 #2 # 3
#4 #5 6#
#7 #8 #9
Note: A small typo has occured with Sindragosa, it's supposed to have the Dragon tag.
Tokens:
The competition will last from Monday, 19.00 (GMT +1) untill Thursday, 19.00 (GMT +1)
Sindragosa - you're kidding with those numbers, right? With freeze or weapon, It should already be 7/7 for 9, not 9/9 for 7. Hell, neutral weapon and neutral mass freeze are both "yellow card" penalty. Overall you have a body above mana cost, and very strong battlecry, and very strong deathrattle - all thrown together.
Forest Drake - bad battlecry, since you won't use that empty crystal this turn, but your opponent will.
Marsh Drake could be a bit too good in control decks, especially priest. Still, seems interesting. I'd say best one here.
Water drake - hm, depends if you count the crystals you used to play it or not. But 2 attack is pretty limiting.
Rest seems OK, but not very interesting. I'd rather have some more 9-mana 8/8 legendaries with interesting effect.

Thank you for your thoughts, however I think you misread the deathrattle of Sindragosa. The enemy hero equips the weapon.

Fit: None. It's a Frostwolf Grunt, but without the ability to prevent lethal. (0/2)
Art: Good (1/1)
Water Drake (2/5)
Balance: There is not yet anything with a variable price based on turn (which is what this is), but I would guess that Blizzard would treat 5 as the standard, which means it should be priced like a 2/6 - so 4 mana. (0/2)
Fit: Wombo Combo decks (it's too slow to be anti-agro, and too weak to be anti-control) (1/2)
Art: Good (1/1)
Dragon Eggs (3/5)
Balance: At 3 mana it allows a 6-mana card to come into play too quickly. At 4 mana it's too expensive for the effect. (1/2)
Fit: Same decks as Nerubian Egg - especially Druid and Warlock. (1/2)
Art: Good (1/1)
Forest Drake (3/5)
Balance: Technically balanced, but would almost certainly replace Azure Drake. (2/2)
Fit: Midrange and Control decks - for which it is quite simply better than Azure Drake (0/2)
Art: Good (1/1)
Amethyst Drake (5/5)* I made myself a promise that I'd give at least one 5 each week. This is the closest, so I guess this is the 5.
Balance: Good (2/2)
Fit: "Dragon Decks" which aren't currently a thing but could become one (1/2)*
Art: Good (1/1)
Skyraze Drake (1/5)
Balance: Not even slightly (0/2)
Fit: Anything with dragons in it. Actually, simplify that to anything. (0/2)
Art: Good (1/1)
Sindragoza (1/5)
Balance: Just about right for a 14 mana card. (0/2)
Fit: Any deck expecting to reach late game (especially Mage). (0/2)

Oh, I did, true.
Still doesn't justify being 9/9+frost nova for 7.
