Mage always carries a large amount of face damage(excluding control/dragon caller mage). Almost every deck runs 2 fireballs and 2 frostbolts. Bringing the cost down to 7 if those spells were used on face. The idea of this is to push out a moderate-large amount of spell damage while stalling with board clears and keeping 1-3 powerful minions in your deck to begin with. Key examples would be Malygos, The Lich King, and Archmage Antonidas. This card can also be used in tempo to summon 2 astral anomalies or sorcerer’s apprentices. Which allows for deck variability.

What card is the "Life King"?
Always expect the unexpectable!
Auto corrects version of the lich king. Thanks for pointing it out.
Life King is the Old God Version of The Lich King.
Him and Lightlord Rag are buddies.
I you won't mind, but there is another mistake. It's Antonidas, not Antonidus.
But let's head to the point of this Thread:
I personally dislike the concept of being rewarded for damage dealt to the face. I would rather like to get rewarded for clearing off minions.
Always expect the unexpectable!
Thanks for that. And that is an interesting concept and would be viable in control mage. (Typing and walking is hard)
7/10, would test that.
We did that with corridor creeper, it was broken XD
Then simply raise it's cost or let it summon 2 copies from hand. It's just a direction i would it rather see to go to.
