Yeah that's what I do too I just found aboms were a nice addition in those cases where that aggressive mulligan failed at least I it gave me chances to win where drake was almost a dead draw in those cases.
He is very worthy,I own both the Black Knight and Cairne and after playing a lot with this deck(I'm running a different deck with 2x Harvest Golems,no owls).I gotta tell you that Cairne is much more valuable, even if you don't Shadowflame him,you can taunt him. Most hunters waste owls on him as soon as they can(because I add taunt on it),because this card is value, only to regret it later when I drop 1-2 Giants +Sunfury/Defender on them.
If you want the Black Knight,I would personally take out Sylvannas, because it's not as OP as it used to be,while the effect is good,it's easy to play around it,which one can't say about Cairne, the only way to stop it is Silence or waste 2 cards on it.Cairne is basically a guaranteed Sylvannas with lowered attack stat.
Wanting to try this deck out, I have all the cards except for Tinkmaster Overspark.
What would be a good card to replace it with?
I'd consider Nat Pagle as an option if you have him. You don't really need the extra draw power but it synergizes well with Sunfury Protector and Defender of Argus and could also make your Twilight Drake bigger. I don't play this deck so I don't have any experience in the matter, It's just a random thought.

Your hand would overflow if you added Nat Pagle in.
Would that really happen so frequently that it's enough to not consider it an option? People still go out of their way to kill Nat Pagle. Not to mention it seems like a better alternative to tapping late game when your life total is already low enough to support giant plays. Like I said I don't know much about this deck, but I honestly doubt overflow would be an issue that naturally happens very often. And on the off chance your opponent ignores it to try to overflow you than you can always back off on tapping a little. Which I know is anti productive to Molten Giant but your card advantage would still be so huge I don't think it would matter.

would cairne be an acceptable swap for black knight in this deck?
imo you would need another shadowflame to make him worthy..aoe for 4 across the board + trigger deathrattle .

This deck has serious trouble with aggro decks. Im finding it VERY hit and miss.
