Warlock was my first ever class/deck, but now I don't like it as much--especially the fact that the hero power draws on your health. (I don't use it past twenty because I feel that threatens my chances of winning if I'm constantly reducing my health.)
Should I keep playing it or should I consider retiring it?
Yep, if you aren't going to tap, why play Warlock? I don't necessarily tap every time I have the mana for it depending on the game situation, but any class mechanic you don't use makes the class weaker when played.
I agree. The Warlock tap is the best hero power in the game. I can't count the number of times I was done for the next round and fished what I wished. i say keep at it and build decks where the draw is worth the risk!
I find a key part of the game is to maximize your odds of getting what you need. Warlock does this very well with its demon tutor and draw power. If the life drain gets you down, then just off set it with life gain into the deck

Try warlock out with different decks like zoo or demon lock. I find that you use the hero power up to 10HP depending on the deck/hero you are facing.
