I got up to rank 6 and just hit a wall. I'm on a major losing streak and am back down to 8 ATM. I know losing streaks happen, but almost every game I lose I end up saying to myself "Man, if only I was a mage/druid that game". I know I could be doing better as a mage, and for most people the obvious choice would be to switch over, but I really want to get to at least rank one this season as a Shaman.
Right now I'm playing pretty standard shaman control decks. I played a bursty shaman deck up until 10 and found it wasn't playable against the face-hunter (which are 37.5% of my matchups now)
Made a pretty good shaman list, went to rank 3 easily with it yesterday, like more than 80% win rate, then today I went back to play it, just loosing, got kicked back to rank 4, and now im almost rank 5 again... only facing aggros today, yesterday I was only facing control
One of the things I added to my deck, was a auctioneer, since I play alot of low mana control spell cards to deal with aggro ( along with Wild Pyromancer), if I have any of those left, I can get those refunded and stand a chance against control.
That's like the exact opposite of the truth, as soon as you get out of face roll Hunter territory Shamans are fine - I'm legendary Shaman on just mid-range made up of commons and rares after I dusted Tinkmaster.
Yeah, the problem is that hunter has (at least until the last couple of days), made up about 30% of your matches at ranks 8-3. Even now it's probably 20%.

Today they have been 50% (small sample size of 10 games) at rank 7-8. It's possible I;m really unlucky.

I too have added a wild pyro and am loving it. It single handedly won me a game against MurLock. I run an auctioneer as well, but against hunters I don't usualy make it far past turn 5, and if I do I'm overloaded to hell from trying to fend them off

Teach me your ways! What deck are you running?
Also, I agree that shaman are strong. I do very well against other control and other midrange decks. Even rush is pretty easy to beat so long as it's not hunter rush.
I just run either Token Shaman, mid-range value Shaman or the Watcher/Blademaster Shaman or a bit of a mish mash of the three. I think what makes the deck really good at the top ranks is that all you'll see is varrying bullshit flavours of Warlock like Warlock Zoo or Handlock and you just have enough anti-aggro and Silence and Polymorph to really punish those decks and you still do pretty well vs Druid because of your draw power.

What decks/ideas can you guys recommend? Thanks!
Switch to token druid, faceroll hunter or pretty much any warlock.
I'd hate to have to do that, but it's looking like that or the mage for me.
You guys are me and my shamans last hope! Is there anything I can do?
Not really, no. Shamans work well at lower ranks, but get destroyed at 5+.
