Legends say that, if you are priest, you have 2 mana, and you have no play, you must hero power. Many priests laugh at this rule. But, some know that there is a 0.00001% chance that this will increase your winrate due to Frost Giant. I have come to tell the tale of this 0.00001% chance.
I was 1-2 playing arena with Priest. After getting savagely beaten by a shaman, I was up against a mage. With no play on turn 2, I use my hero power and pass.
Many turns go by. I draw mind vision. I play it and, astonishingly, get a frost giant (7 mana). I laugh. But, I don't pay too much attention. I am losing by a large margin against the mage (despite my board clears) and need to focus on the game.
After a few turns pass, I am low on cards. My frost giant is at 5 mana. Suddenly, I realize that my opponent is at 13 life. Because my frost giant is at 5 mana, I can play it alongside an Operative in my hand to set up lethal. So, I make the play. After a slight pause by the mage, they pyroblast my face and concedes. Perhaps they forgot pyroblast could target minions. Perhaps they were frozen in terror by my frosty play. I do not know. 1-2 arena things. But what I do know is...
HERO POWER AND EMOTE. HERO POWER AND EMOTE OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.
