Hey, a friend recently created this deck and asked me for advice. It seems solid, but I'm not very experienced in deckbuilding, and would appreciate any opinions on the deck and whether or not it would be viable in Ranked play.
There are only 6 dragons in that deck, which makes your deck way too conditional for the higher tiers.
i was about to say the same thing... why mix all these themes together?
plus: why putting auchenai in a deck that has no healing spell except 1 holy nova? you could use it with hero power ONLY if you didn't play one of your 2 shadow forms... seems inconsistent to me...
Nefarian, Mindcontrol and Mindgames are things I'd cut. Preferably for a few more dragons - Azure Drake and Twillight Drake. Holy Fire is very strong removal and good heal as well.
Edit: Also a deck with so few spells won't make a good use of Beardo. I'd rather run Ragnaros in its place.

I have never seen a serious deck without an Azure Drake before. How did the most OP card in the game get left out of a dragon deck?
Actually I expect Drakonid Operative will be more than a viable replacement for Azure Drake. Better Stats, and a discover instead of a card draw. (the spell power is a bit moot in Dragon Priest decks as there's not huge spell damage)
But, I think this is mixing the two types of deck we'll see. Either a Reno-Shadow priest, or a Dragon deck. This is a mix of the two, which probably won't work.

Except discover is usually inferior to card draw. Three choices, but the chance that any work to further your game plan is too small to be useful. A proper deck is built to contain the right amount of each component - answers, pressure, and win condition, and you want to be able to draw out every card as fast as possible in order to increase your deck's consistency as a game goes on.
Furthermore, the Drakonid has the same flaw as most other dragon synergy cards - once you enter topdeck mode, you have to start holding cards, leaving you at least one draw further behind.
Drakonid shows you exactly what the opponent is playing. Also the intel also lets you know which cards the opponent doesnt currently hold in his hand. Azure Drake and Drakonid are both very valuable and definitely deserve their spots in the deck.

A 'friend' made it huh? Well your 'friend' definitely has too much going on in their deck.

Drakonid Operative should be better than Azure drake. Azure drake is probably still good enough for a reno deck though.
