It surely is a fun card unlike Harrison but nowdays with all super min/maxed decks you hardly find a spot for such a slow card so vulnerable to silence.
I'm deciding between Alex and Harrison now. I am thinking Alex because it is quite an effective card in most decks and Harrison can be replaced better than Alex with other cards. Sneed's is fun, but thinking more and more about it, it will most likely be taken care of quite quickly and it's very risky.
Go with alex then it's certainly not worse than harry :)
I understand he is pretty decent because of the 4 card draw and a big body, but I feel that most times murlocs are not game-changing and he is overshadowed by the legendaries in the polls. Thoughts?

I disagree. He's a good legendary. The murlocs synergize very well together. Think of him like you would of Sneed, on average you will get more value than not. Shaman is especially prone to running low on cards, and having a legendary that refills your hand and threatens the board is very nice.
If you hate playing shaman, then I understand. He's too good to d/e for Geddon. If you must pick one, go with Alex.
Neptulon is pretty good though. If you will never ever play shaman. It's ok to disenchant it. If you change your mind though, you may come to regret that decision a bit.
It is golden though, so I think it's fine. I de'd a golden legendary I had, to craft ragnaros, which I crafted a regular version of it lately. I did not regret my decision.
Whoops! Sorry, I do have Ragnaros. I forgot to mention him.
Hmm, Trump seems to love Sneed's. That s one of the reasons I am leaning on him. IIRC, he said he basically is an auto-include.
please.. do not base your actions and wishes on Trump.. he is pretty damn awful player honestly.. his last video he missed lethal 3 turns in a row... i dont get all the fanboyism but disenchanting Golden Neptulon sounds really bad to me..
you dont really mention what you plan to play but from your list is it Control Warrior?

I might give Shaman a try. If I enjoy it, I might keep him. I just feel a gold legendary is quite a nice amount of dust if the legendary wouldn't be used too often. But, I saw he was in 30% of decks according to Hearthpwn so he might be doing decent.

I said this a couple times already but I might keep him. I could always open Alex, and harrison in another pack. I have most of the GvG legendaries/cards I want/need so I might buy some classics with in-game gold.
Whoops! Sorry, I do have Ragnaros. I forgot to mention him.

I think Trump was playing fast and wasn't really thinking. I do think he is a good player but I am not a full out fanboy. I just trust most of his judgement in hearthstone because of his skill.
I plan on playing: CW, Handlock, Control Mage, Control Priest. I'm not a fan of Rogue, and Shaman - but i might just need to play them more. And, I do not have enough cards for Control Paladin. I dislike aggro decks, so not really going with them in mind. I do see that Neptulon is good in control though but I feel every time I used him I got bad murlocs.
I voted Alex, but its better to keep. Its a great card.
I might give it a chance. I played 3 games as shaman and lost all 3 last night with Neptulon in my deck. I feel shaman are one of the worst in this meta.
I do not see much appeal to Harrison because I feel on average you draw 1 card.
I think that you should not forget that while drawing at least one card you also deny his weapon charge. This is especially strong vs Hunter with their traps, warrior with their deathbite deathrattle and rogue's blade furry that seems to become more and more played (again).
However, I would craft Dr.Boom in the first place (if you really never ever want to play Shaman, then keep Neptulon for sure).
Dr. Boom > Harrison > Alex > Nat Pagle
I already have Dr. Boom. Good point on Harrison but I feel that Alex is more versatile. It can even - somewhat - replace LJ in my Handlock (since I do not have LJ).
all shamans love neptulon evnetho initially everybody hated on that card.. there are pretty insane combos with 4 murlocs you can pull off
getting atleast 1 old murkeye and warleader can be devastating for your opponent.. murloc synergy is on such high level that there is serious 90% chance you get good value out of your murlocs (which apppeared out of thin air aswell do not forget this.. pretty much playing shaman with 34 cards in deck this way which is huge coz they run out of steam very easily..) u can also get stuff like 4x coldlight oracle which means 8 card draw and mill enemy hand easily :D i mean this card is like so much better and fun than anyone would have expected.. btw shamans are in pretty great shape right now.. and finally you can play different shaman decks now.. the old shaman decks were pretty boring and narrow
edit:neptulon is pretty important for any shaman deck atm. no matter if murloc or regular but here is little fun video of noxious playing murloc shaman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRTwM42TZm4
I have: Vol'Jin, Rag, Malorne, Slyvannas, Cairne, Dr. Boom, Bloodmage, Grommash, Troggzor, Ysera and all Nax legendaries.
I'm thinking about :
Alex - Good late game burner. Could heal me or help me finish off opponent.
Sneed's - Value, good for control.
Harrison - So many weapons now, value.
Baron Geddon - AOE, good for control.
Thanks!
P.S. I am leaning on Sneed's because he has pretty great value and even though it's a deathrattle, it's immediate board presence.

Sneeds' battlecry -> turn into a frog or sheep next turn
Alex, if you plan to make antonidas any time soon.
Shes playing a part in lots of decks lately.
Other than that. Id say harisson or TBK
Hit top 200 With OTK warrior.
Gold Warlock, Hunter and rogue
Whoops! Sorry, I do have Ragnaros. I forgot to mention him.

Yea, Sneed is problamatic if he gets silenced he can bait out a removal and if not he is a threatening board presence.
I do not see much appeal to Harrison because I feel on average you draw 1 card.
I do not plan to craft Antonidas soon.

I crafted Sneed. Totally regret it. Too slow. Pull hair out when DO get it to works and it delivers Nat Pagle. Or any legendary with a battlecry.
You just just keep Neptulon, he's a great card.

Thanks for the insight. He looks really cool but besides that he does seem slow. Shame, it's a nice card concept.
I've played a couple games with him, I don't really like his results. 4 Murlocs are not really 'game-changing'.

Well between your 4, it's clearly Alex then.
+1

I don't really enjoy Shaman, so I doubt I'd really use him.

Sneed's Old Shredder is over hyped. [card]Alexstrasza[/card] on the other hand, consistently wins games, even ones that would otherwise be unwinnable.
