I've heard from others that Am'gam Rager is a Shade, so that's why it isn't going to be an Elemental.
Also, there will most likely be little to no Elemental support in Rogue as Mike Donais said in the blog post revealing some of the new Elemental cards today that they gave Elementals primarily to Mage and Shaman as they fit those classe's theme.
