If you havn't got the cash and want the free pack this is the easiest way.
This is how the game plays out: the King plays some 3/4s and 2/2s to try and dispute the board after he wastes his 1st turn, meanwhile you should be drawing into cards that give you empty mana crystals, and on turn 4 you should have Jade Behemoth out, then throw behind him a Gadgetzan Auctioneer and cycle through the rest of your deck. Nourish is there to speed that process up even more. If through some freak accident he clears the board, just try again and hopefully he won't draw into his removal spells, which he often times keeps for your bigger threats anyways.
Remember that the Lich King will start by clearing his board on turn 7, so if you can have a taunt your [card]Gadgetzan Auctioneer [/card] is safe. You can maximize the auctioneer's turn by having 8 mana on the turn he acts this way. Should be plenty to fill up your deck and put down some big threats.
Also keep in mind the Lich King doesn't have any spells that can deal damage to the face; if you can make it to the next turn, even with 1 HP, go for face, and chances are he will attempt to clear your big threats.
- If you've got Fandral Staghelm he helps a lot, but he's not necessary.
- Tree of Life might help a bit too, just because after turn 7 you might be running low on health.
- If you've got Feral Rage, take it instead of Healing Touch.
- If you're struggling to make it to turn 7, or life long enough past it to cause real damage, give Jade Blossom a hoop and take Mire Keeper in its stead.
Might take a couple tries, but it'll work.
Good luck!
yeah i've toyed with that idea, and if you do want to make it as barebones as possible it's a good way to do it
reason why i opted to stick with all those extra cards because once you do draw your auctioneer (which dropping all the other cards helps ensure), you are bound to be able to cycle through the majority of your deck anyways, and lay down some big threats.
without heals though you're slightly more susceptible to getting stun locked by blizzard, and he might be able to cause just enough damage for you to loose since all your eggs are in one basket. On the other hand, with heals you're more likely to not even get a board. so any way you slice it, it can work or spontaneously combust
if you are going for the ultimate barebones, i would take one extra gadgetzan; one for just cycling through your deck, another so you can play him when you've got 8-9 mana and he'll do the rest of heavy lifting for you
2nd try thanks, I just prepare the board of turn 7 with a lot of jade for the trade
Pretty good! Took me five tries, even with Feral Rage. On the last successful attempt, I swapped -2 Goldshire Footman, +2 Earthen Scales. The extra shield made all the difference.
Pretty good! Took me five tries, even with the Feral Rage upgrade. On the final successful attempt, I swapped -2 Goldshire Footman, +2 Earthen Scales. I guess I needed the extra shielding as a security blanket. 🙂
Awesome this deck works!
But with Fandral Staghelm and +1 Jade Spirit it is easier.
Worked like a charm!
Thanks! :D
p.s this is my first time playing jade idol in a real game. Am I a sinner now?
so bad deck dont play !!!
First try with feral rages
Keeping moonfire worked for me. You don't need mire keeper as nourish ramps your mana early. And having moonfire out to cycle with auctioneer at the end of the game is better than getting stuck drawing a keeper you can't play.
Nice deck. Thanks! I didn't use your exact deck but took the ideas and mixed them up a bit. the key is the jade / auctioneer engine with some ramp to start. Took me 3 tries but the 3rd time was cake.
thanks; yeah, Fandral would help, but I personally really dislike druid in the game and never crafted a single legendary for him. been playing priest since GvG lol. and even if i did, he wouldnt help that much because you still have to play him, and that means 4 less mana for your auctioneer to use up.
this deck though won after 2-3 tries i think; if you can make it to turn 7 and he can't kill your auctioneer, it's pretty much game over right there
