So what do we have here! That's right a finally viable answer to whether or not quests matter! Question do you like murlocs? Answer yes of course you do dummy. Do you like making quest decks look like little time bs? Shell yes you do!
So here it is the murlocs that broke the fucking meta! I currently am sitting at a 69 percent win rate and was able to jump all the way to rank 8 from rank 17 in just a few hours playing this deck.
Now I would very much love to do a full write up of this, but I am also not gonna waste my time if no one is reading these things so.
If you want a full mulligan guide Slam that upvote 50 times
If you want a full guide well jam that upvote to 100 and you will get just that.
If you guys upvote this into a oblivion, I don't know I will do something cool.
Anyways hope you guys enjoy the deck, and have fun out racing all those slow quest decks.
I just wanted to come back after testing this deck a little in Casual and I wanted to say it works amazingly as a tempo paladin deck. There's so much in terms of buffing up your own murlocs and then proceeding to wipe your opponent's board while keeping your own up, as well as being able to switch to aggro on a dime. I'm 7-0 so far, which is much better than the other Murlocadin I was using (6-5) and seems much more consistent when compared to other aggro murloc decks. If you're looking for some easy wins in Casual and don't have the dust to craft those big leggos then this deck is for you. Might test it out in Ranked and edit my comment as things develop.
have you tried the version that has more late game, like lightlord and tirion? which version do you think is stronger in the current meta?
Depends on what you're playing against. The version that has more late game has not had much success for me. This version has.
I don't prefer playing aggro decks in fact I really prefer control decks but at this point I don't care anymore. I'm extremely tired of losing just based on draw RNG and my opponents being the luckiest sons of bitches to ever play hearthstone and be graced by the RNG Gods.
Yes, that is baby raging. But at this point I really stopped caring. I don't mind losing, I mean shit happens but I don't like losing every game just because my hand is the top half of my curve while my low cost minions are just sitting in the deck.
I've found the aggro version to be better against most opponents. If you have a full board almost every round its hard for them to keep up with. Yes they 'can' deal with it, but usually they just can't keep up. Yes you'll lose against those who can find the ability to control the board. But with this deck most games end around turn 4-5 depending on their deck archetype and the luck of the draw.
Best thing you can do is to make both, play both and just see how it works out for you. Choose then.
thanks for the reply. I too have suffered with my control decks not getting my early game and be stuck with 5 drops up. I plan to give them both a try. thanks again.
No problem, I don't normally reply (severe anxiety) but when I feel like I have something to add I try to do so.
I decided to test out 3 versions of Murlocadin because it was my day off and I had nothing better to do. Please keep in mind this was all at rank 15 so I wouldn’t care if I lost stars. I imagine a different outcome for each rank tier.
The versions are:
I don’t have exact match details (I played around 15 for each deck) but I have win rates. Also I only played around 15 games, which isn’t a great sample size.
Murloc hit Face – 60% won 9/15 games. Losses were mainly non-aggro favorable hands, or the opponent stalling and forcing me to lose tempo
MC – 46.7 % won 7/15 games. I’m ‘familiar’ with all 3 decks, but I had the hardest time with this one. I think it was mainly due to consistently drawing the top end of my curve. However, I accept that I could have made a lot of mistakes and over committed quite a bit.
The Bullshit – 80% won 12/15 games. Now I don’t know if it was just luck on my part, but I had a lot of fun with this deck. I will say I was lucky and in almost every game drew the 1 Spikeridged Steed in the deck. Overall I’d say this is my personal favorite.
So, back to my original comment lol – the best thing to do is to just try out each one and see which one works better for you. ‘The Bullshit’ which I’ve also named it that in my deck lists worked out the best for me. I hope this helps somewhat, or gives you a basic idea.
I really think it just depends on your opponent’s class and deck archetype. ‘The Bullshit’ had an easier time dealing with different archetypes in my opinion. I could have, however, just been unlucky with the MC version.
This is the version I had the most luck with, Click here. This is NOT discounting or disregarding the Posters aggro version, but it is the version I found to be a bit more reliable.
I would still recommend testing both and seeing which one works for you. The one you mentioned with Ragnaros, Lightlord did not work that great for me, but we all play differently and like different things.
Best of luck!
thanks for the in depth review. I will give all three a try. I'm currently using my own dragon priest deck that I posted that i am having a lot of fun with. but will give these decks a try as well
