Malygos Rogue is a combo deck built around the +5 spell damage provided by Malygos.

 

The deck aims to burst down your opponent with a flurry of cheap class spells after you play Malygos, including Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, and Shiv. The deck has lost the powerhouse in Blade Flurry, but people have adapted and changed to find different answers.

 

The power of Tomb Pillager is at its strongest in Malygos Rogue, giving you the extra mana you need to squeeze out that extra damage on your Malygos turn through those extra coins.

Malygos Rogue remains in tier 3, as most of the previous tier 1 decks dropped to tier 2 after the latest nerf. With Aggro Shaman and Tempo Mage falling from being powerhouses, Malygos Rogue doesn't have many unfavored matchups left on ladder. Against Freeze Mage, this deck is more resistant than Miracle Rogue, since Freeze Mage lacks a direct answer towards Malygos. Against Mid-Range Shaman, this deck also seems consistent enough.

 

The only drawback of this deck is, without Conceal, it's a little slow compared to Miracle Rogue, which means you have to spend most resources on board control until you have a burst plan.
