I have about a 70% win rate at rank 7!
17/8 record since rank 10.
Excellent against Zoolock, Midrange Hunter, Shockadin, Tempo-Mage, Facial Warrior, Aggro Shaman and much more! Make sure to get the most value out of your removal.
Deck struggles against heavier control, but that's why I put in Elise. Avoid drawing too much in control matchups or you'll suffer fatigue.
I can put in specific matchups if I have enough requests!
Mulligans;
aggro; Doomsayer, Tunnel Trogg, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Storm, Stormcrack and if against some serious face deck, you can keep Healing Wave.
control; Similar to aggro, but you can also keep Feral Spirit, Mana Tide Totem, Violet Teacher and Elise Starseeker. Against control Druid keep Hex.
Tips;
- Hallazeal + Elemental Destruction is a heavy board reset and heals you a lot!
- Against control, try to keep Emperor Thaurissan until you are able to reduce the cost of Malygos and some spells to burst them with (Lightning bolt, Lava Burst).
- If you're ahead and able to end game within 1-2 turns, it is usually better to not use Yogg-Saron. There's a chance he will ruin your life.
- Calculate overload and lava shock numbers. Mastering this will help you win more games.
- If weapons become a constant problem, consider putting in Harrison Jones or Acidic Swamp Ooze.
- Alexstrasza may be useful if you're facing a lot more control decks.
I'm really not sure how to play this, but I want to more than anything :(
How do i win?!! :(
You use your spells and few minions to maintain board control. Towards later game, use Thaurissan to set up your Malygos combo. If Malygos doesn't work, you use Yogg-Saron and hope for the best!
I love this deck! So far 7-2. I was wondering any replacements for Bloodmage? I was thinking about bloodlust or the thing from below,any advise?
Pretty ironic that you're missing Bloodmage Thalnos and your Hearthpwn name is Thalanos lol! I'd personally replace him with something like another Far Sight (to replace the card draw Bloodmage provides) or Healing Wave. However, don't let my opinion limit you. In all honesty this deck is not perfectly built and there is still much testing to be done. You can be creative and include a Ragnaros if you please! I will say this though, Bloodlust is probably not that good (synergy with Violet Teacher is not consistent and we don't have many minions).
I always loved the name, never had the card though hahahaha. I guess I ll just be switching depending on what I face the most!
I will discard bloodlust as an option then. Thank you very much for the deck and for your answer! I hope you keep this bad boy updated :P
I actually forgot about that card. I used to always include Charged Hammer in all of my decks! What did you replace to include the trusty ol' Hammer?
Hallazeal the Ascended replacement?
I had to log in to vote. I never log in or comment anywhere.
Steer clear of this monstrosity. Most of the card choices don't make sense. Is it aggro, is it control, is it midrange? Its a hybridized mess of not good.
It was intended to be a control deck. However, I do have to agree, this deck is random as hell. But that's part of what makes it fun! A huge mess with an identity crisis that can still kick ass!
I think I ran a 2nd Healing Wave in place of Elise actually lol. It was really helpful against the aggro decks. Someone suggested Charged Hammer and that seemed like it had potential. Alternatively, you can run our beloved Al-Akir! His clear is really good and he's a sick taunt.
It turns out that the last sentence of my guide said to use Alexstrasza against control-heavy meta. Can't believe I forgot I wrote that lol. Overall, I think Alexstrasza should be much more useful in all control matchups than Elise Starseeker (except maybe Warrior w/ 1000 armor).
love this deck. Having so much fun with it.
How essential is Hallazeal in this deck? I just crafted Malygos after being sick of never having opened him and looking for something to play. Even more entranced by the fact that this deck counters all the cancer on latter right now.
Hallazeal's potential to heal you more than any other card in the game is what makes him truly unique and a scary card for aggro. He's the reason why we can get away with only 2 healing cards in our deck. Essentially, this card is an endless healing engine that just needs damage spells as fuel; we have a lot of that in this deck. I suppose you could replace him with a 2nd Healing Wave.
having trouble against cthun decks. especially priest.
Yea unfortunately this deck is not very good vs control decks. It was most successful during the aggro meta. Against control, you want to have Thaurissan reduce the cost of Malygos + spells for the 1 turn burst kill, Elise for legendaries or save Yogg for an 18 spell battlecry.
weird deck but it works o.O
How is this deck good vs zoolock?
The same reason it's good against other aggro decks; large amounts of removal.
Lol! Another very long game vs Control Warrior which went to fatigue but again Malygos to the rescue. My win rate wasn't great with this deck, but I've stuck with it and have been on a win streak all morning!
Long control match going to fatigue with Malygos/Elise finisher
