Hello, my name is TardHunter and I like the OP decks. They took Deathbite and Unstable Ghoul from us. But they give us something in return: a new whirlwind and a hybrid between Inner Rage and Slam - Ravaging Ghoul and Blood to Ichor.
I have just got legend with it today, with 2 losses starting from rank 2 and it feels really nice vs this new meta.

This current list seems to be the best right now. Played all night long and experimented.
Blood Warriors is a bad card. Seems good but it is not. You dont want 5 mana patrons in your hand than can not be activated. You just die if you try that vs midrange and aggro.
UPDATE : 6 People already got legend with this deck and I start to see this list on ladder. THANKS for your support, I am really happy.
Tech choice: - 1 Ragnaros the Firelord, +1 Korgron Elite if you face more AGGRO
Card Replacements:
Ragnaros can be replaced with Emperor Thaurissan (prefferably), Leeroy, Harrison Jones (if you face many weapon classes, Hogger Doom or even Arch Thief Rafaam(not advised)
For Patron warrior, hero power is almost useless in every matchup, exceptions being Aggro Shaman, Freeze Mage and Face Hunter, as most of the time you want to spend all your mana playing cards instead of armor up. Sir Finley Mrrgglton provides a better solution for patron since the nerfs. Pls give me Mage Mr. Finley.
Mage > Priest >> Warlock = Shaman > Hunter >> Druid = Paladin >> Rogue
Warlock hero power is good, but it may tempt you to draw too much and lose tempo. Priest hero power is pretty good especially when you heal up your Frothing Berserker or Grim Patron and make your opponent unable to deal with it next turn. Mage hero power is the best because you can do this:
- Grim Patron + Hero Power + Whirlwind = 4 * Grim Patron
- Grommash Hellscream + Hero Power = Enraged Grommash Hellscream
- Acolyte of Pain + Hero Power = Draw a card
- Enemy minion + Hero Power = Can be Execute
- Friendly minion + Hero Power = 1 more draw from Battle Rage
Don't use Sir Finley Mrrgglton on turn 1 against mage because armor up is the best hero power against freeze mage and you don't know what type of mage you face.
Aggro Shaman
A hard matchup if the new cancerous aggro shaman draws his Dr. 4, or runs Elemental Destruction to ruin your day (but most of them don't). You have 2 choices. The first is to play armorsmith early, if he plays 1 hp minions, or to keep it for a big whirlwind.
Kor'kron Elite is really useful for dealing with Feral Spirit or other 2 attack minions, and the 1 health left can be very problematic for shaman.
Don't be afraid to play all your hands or Execute to keep the board clean. Hero power is the least important thing if your opponent doesn't equip Doomhammer. Try to build a bigger board and force your opponent to trade.
If there are to many face shamans on ladder, put Harrison Jones into the deck instead of Bloodhoof and enjoy the free win.
Hunter
Face hunter is a super good matchup, while the new midrange deathrattle hunter is quite hard. Mulligan for Fiery War Axe, , Armorsmith, and Acolyte of Pain. The most important concept for this matchup is to build the board and draw as fast as you can, not armor up every turn. It's common to turn around the game around 10HP with Armorsmith and whirlwind effect.
For midrange hunter, the winning condition is multiple Grim Patron on board on turn 5 or turn 6 because it's almost impossible to deal with Savannah Highmane. Unlike druid, midrange hunter can put pressure on his opponent from turn 1 with his new fiery bat, which means you can't keep Grim Patron in the starting hand because it's too slow.
C'thun Priest/Dragon Priest
Unfavorable matchup. Hard Mulligan for Acolyte of Pain and Fiery War Axe. If there is no Battle Rage in hand, it's ok to YOLO 4 Grim Patron on turn 6. Just keep the pressure on, if priest does not have Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing , you win this instantly.
Also, because of Cabal Shadow Priest, don't play Armorsmith or Acolyte of Pain too easily after turn 5. I only play these two cards in the late game when I need to draw with whirlwind effect and/or Battle Rage. Entomb is neglectable in this matchup, most of the time it is used to kill the Frothing Berserker and lose the tempo.
C'Thun Warrior
Quite a hard matchup. Try to pressure him early. They run one Brawl, dont play around it or you lose. They have it, that's it. Dont expect many wins from this matchup, even if it is not as hard as the old Control Warrior
Tempo Mage
Favorable matchup. Hard Mulligan for Fiery War Axe. Keep clearing all enemy minions with weapons and try to build the board with Frothing Berserker and Multiple Grim Patron. Make sure to kill the Sorcerer's Apprentice and Flamewaker ASAP, if Flamewaker is behind a taunt just Execute it to prevent huge amount of damage. Flamestrike only should be considered only in very low ranks.
Freeze Mage
Favorable and tricky matchup. Mulligan for Armorsmith, Execute, Fiery War Axe. Actually, all you need are two Armorsmith and two Execute. Don't draw too fast, let the freeze mage draw faster than you. Keep armor up every turn and use Execute on Alexstrasza and Archmage Antonidas. Use Slam + Fiery War Axe to kill Emperor Thaurissan. Always keep one Inner Rage or Whirlwind in hand in order to deal with Archmage Antonidas + freezing spell play.
After Alexstrasza on your face, play double Armorsmith + minions + double whirlwind effects + Execute and you should be fine. If Emperor Thaurissan haven't being played, the lethal damage should be 20 or 21 (with Bloodmage Thalnos) at most on turn 10. Just carefully count the maximum damage freeze mage can deal and go for the fatigue. Most of the time freeze mage just don't have enough damage and die in fatigue. Sometimes patron warrior may breaks the Ice Block before fatigue and win, but the fatigue plan is still the best strategy against freeze mage.
If there are too many freeze mages on ladder, put Ragnaros the Firelord into the deck and enjoy the easy win.
Zoo
Quite a favorable matchup. Hard Mulligan for Fiery War Axe . They have the new card that gets it's attack higher after playing minions that can be executed and also the 1/1 tentacles, that are absolute 0 vs patron. Care at Doomguard, they run 2 copies. Zoo should be an easy matchup if they don't overwhelm you early.
C'thun Druid
Favorable Matchup. Hard mulligan for Fiery War Axe, and Grim Patron. The winning condition against midrange druid is 4+ Grim Patron on board before lategame. To achieve this goal, you have to play small minions/weapons and Execute in order to keep up the tempo. Try to clear his early C'thun minions.
C'thun Rogue
They have no blade furry, the only AOE in thier deck that could clear patrons. However, Rogue got some early agression cards, besides the C'thun ones, that are dangerous. I haven't seen a good C'thun Rogue deck till now. Beware of the new miracle Rogue. Some pro players got in top 100 with a new miracle rogue list. I didn't face one yet, but I am not looking forward to it.
N'Zoth Paladin
A very hard matchup. If they draw their Equality Pyro combo, you are in big trouble. Try to pressure them early game and even Execute the Doomsayer to mantain board control. If they don't draw Equality, you got some chances to win.
Deathrattle Rogue
The Deathrattle Rogue is, in my opinion, very weak early. So An agressive Frothing turn is the key to victory. Even enraging your Bloodhoof can work, as they dont have how to deal with a damaged 5hp minion. However, if they start the deathrattle chain, it is very hard to win. Still, it is a good matchup. (Did they take your Blade Furry, little Rogue?) http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/529651-dr-6-is-back-in-town
Getting the mage spell is crazy op as it allows you to trigger all sorts of combos. If you have the dust, craft the little bugger.
Dont throw out bloodhoof without pinging it against priest just before turn 6. Learned that the hard way :(
yea as a general rule try not to play armorsmith/acolyte/bloodhoof too easily after turn 5 if you don't have a combo with them.
second slam
So no consideration or respect for Yogg-Saron? I feel like its a decent audible. I mean if you happen to run into Paladin or a Double Brawl Control Warrior (which I've run into a couple times) and they leave you without Patrons I don't find Rag to be good enough to close out the game. I've played Yogg a couple times now, and he's not some game changing thing, but if you're just looking for RNG maybe win or prevent losing I think Yogg has to be the way to go. Especially considering its not hard to draw the majority of your deck and cast the majority of your spells.
I mean its fine if you don't personally like the card, but that isn't to say its a bad choice. Rag is still and RNG card, and I've played with it since Beta and found it wanting. Maybe its because I'm not Amaz, but he just rarely hits where I need, would rather go full gamble than a half measure.
Against aggro Shaman, you can basically 1-shot Dr. 4 by setting up a Bloodhoof Brave with an Inner Rage in hand—pretty handy.
THEN DON'T PLAY IT AND LET US HAVE FUN WITH ARE SO CALLED "DEAD DECK"!
How about new Hogger or Raffam instead Rag?
hey guys such a awesome deck here is two of my match with the deck
Thanks for sharing the videos. I watched your first one. While you won, you really should go back and try to identify misplays. Not trying to be harsh or anything, but you were playing a rank 20 opponent who let you slide on a lot of questionable plays. It never hurts to try and learn and improve yourself either!
This deck has singlehandedly turned the meta upside down already. I am super glad that all these control decks are getting wrecked and being forced to run board clears and that aggro decks are being contested by a deck that actually takes some brains to play, besides just throwing down sticky minions, slamming face, and punching that Warlock auto-win button.
I don't have finley or Rag so I put in Emp T and a wild pyro, will see how it does in the rank 22 matchup in a bit. Good list though =)
How about Elise instead of Rag/Finley? With it's powerful draw engine I am pretty sure Patron can benfit from it as vs heavy control decks you almost always get to fatigue with only useless cards in hand.
Can you add a matchup guide for paladins pls?
Kokron Elite is extremely good against C'Thun Priest.

Fireblast :D is the best
Mage is good all around for spot removal and synergizes with your minions. When you're taking an aggressive approach and need more pressure on the opponents life total, hunter is good. Whenever you dont expect your life total to be under attack throughout the early and mid game, you can get a lot out of Warlock. Druid's next up, it's good in general for a lot of the same reasons mage is, plus it plays well with weapons. Priest is no net gain or loss. Shaman Rogue and Paladin aren't great outside of very niche circumstances.
