Explanation Coming Soon!
Anyone got a link to a video of someone playing a murloc deck (and doing well) at any single-digit rank? I'd like to see what they're doing that I'm not.
Hey you can check out my past broadcasts, I was playing this deck to climb to rank 6 and was one of the players that got that high the fastest this season using this very deck! Skip ahead in this past broadcast to see: http://www.twitch.tv/hero_firebat/b/516128449 Hope it helps!
Thanks, I definitely will watch it.
Btw, do you think murloc is actually the best choice to rush to sub-10, or is it a personal pref? You think it's a better choice than zoo?
EDIT: I only see you swapping to murlocs when you're already at rank 6 (and it was 0-4 then you swapped to druid, but I know you're an amazing player so it's not making murlocs look very appealing to me). Do you have your 2.5 hour climb from 16-6 using murlocs? THAT's the type of video I'd be interested in. I want to see a video of someone blowing through the earlier ranks with murloc. I'd really like to see how it's done.
It should be in the past broadcasts somewhere haha. I like murlocs better than Zoo for climbing quickly because against bad players you can just autowin if they don't clear the murlocs or don't save a removal for the warleader.
Lol, that's right dude but I started at rank 19 this season and so far (to rank 11) I have come across maybe 3-4 ppl that completely left my murlocs alone. Even at "easy" ranks not many people are that stupid. I thought maybe there was some top secret murloc tactics that I wasn't privy to.
Edit: Just came back from doing 11 games with murlocs, starting at rank 12. Went 2-9. I feel there's not much I could be doing wrong. I have a near 80% win rate with zoo, and very similar stats with warrior control and miracle rogue, as well as 70%ish with your "druid options" deck, handlock, and a few others (all stats over 350 games). What I'm saying is I feel I'm a pretty competent player overall. But, even at these noob ranks, I get tore up when I play murloc. Every single opponent I play has such a ridiculously easy time clearing my board, it's nuts. Not sure what I'm gettin at here.... I'm just frustrated. I do not get it.
Well just mulligan away the murlocs, keep board control with non murlocs and after they've used their removal up or you have gotten the murgl + health combo that sticks then play the murgls. If you have 80% winrate with anything then that will climb very fast, on an average of series of games, 6.25 games for 5 stars which is a rank. But the best part about ladder murlocs is the game is over at about turn 6 and with zoo it often goes longer than that. I don't think it is a difficult deck to play, and its not something you really need to study much, but if you want msg me on twitch in chat when I'm streaming sometime and we can go on skype and share screen and talk through the plays to see if you would do anything different than I would to see if you are indeed missing some small thing.
Thanks for the response. Really, it's not that big of a deal with the murlocs for me. Probably just a lot of bad luck and me trying to rush things too fast. I'll probably just stick to one of the decks I do better with, even if the games are longer. The 80% I quoted above is a mix of casual and ranked games (though all zoo wins are ranked and i dont remember losing more than a couple times with control warr in ranked). I haven't been playing long enough to know how long it takes to get to higher ranks with any specific type of deck, as I just discovered the game a little over 2 weeks ago and haven't really pushed hard for a ranking yet.
