Shadow word pain rod and silence then buff up a deathlord and watch him pass his turn until you win
proof first wing cleared: https://gyazo.com/ebf99b9c333beaf767afdde6a9103065
zinaar: tempo mage
temple escape: fatigue warrior
No patience for this gimmick but seems like the only way...
I did that run different believe it or not dragon priest did well I just have shadow word pain and with combo power word shield and double hp with inner fire he couldn't kill the rod which was 20/20 as long u have a solid opening hand and a few taunts and a nasty o dragon things go well :)
Worked for me on the first try! Silenced the staff on turn 1 (zero cost silence spell), then played lightwell on turn two. Played a second lightwell soon after and he never bothered to kill them until the game was almost over. On turn 7, played deathlord plus double health twice for a 2/32. They kept attacking it but I was able to keep it alive by healing it, and killing his minions with removal spells and attacking with my other minions. I think it was only possible because the two lightwells were working overtime. By the end, he had killed both lightwells with spells but was never able to kill the deathlord. I buffed his damage with velen's chosen mid-game and he ended up doing almost all of the boss damage.
The only deck change I made was swapping out Holy Fire(s) for Power Word: Glory. The glory spell was a great way to neutralize the big minions that he drops early on (to keep your health high before you are ready to drop and buff your taunt). I also put Glory on my buffed deathlord later on, which helped keep my hero at full health and helped my lightwells random heal to keep targeting the dealthlord instead of my face.
Good luck!
This is absolutely 100% NOT TRUE. On heroic he will absolutely clear your minions and will not pass.
On my second try. Thank you!

I beat it but not cheesed. This deck works if you draw SW:P, and then can get a deathlord out and quickly buff it before it's killed. I never silenced the DL, but had it up to 6/32 or something. Just let him beat against it and kept it healed w/lightwells and buffs. Ended with deathlord at 6 health, so it was close.
I SW:P, then silenced, then got a 2/16 deathlord and he still swung at my taunt every time. second deathlord was 4/16, same thing. How do I make them stop attacking?
I really wish they would fix the AI on these. It's so boring to cheese the big taunt strategy.
how big does that taunt have to be? he still attacks to my deathlord when it's at 16 health, and must I use the SW:P to kill the rod?can I simply kill it with my minion?
You have to silence the rod.
Worked perfectly, heres my upvote
Added Fjola Lightbane so you can handle his Sunwalker(plus the divine shield was just all around helpful when i didn't get deathlord till late game), and dropped a Mass Dispel
Hard mulligan for SW:P, silence and deathlord...?
Every time I try this I can't draw into a deathlord and I lose.
yes, the time i won my hand was SWP SWD and drew into silence and eventually into deathlord buffing
This does not work at all. If you silence the rod, he hits face.
have to survive to make a big taunt and then he wont do anything
Yeah, not true at all. I got a 24/24 Deathlord on the field and he still ran every one of his minions right into it. He does not simply "pass".
You can win with this, if you get the right buffs early on. Silencing the rod prevents him from regaining his immunity, so that's good. But really, you should ditch the ooze's for a couple of Holy Champion's. Much more consistent that way.
I had to concede a couple times until I finally got SW:P in my opening hand. After that, it was a cakewalk!
