**UPDATED** The Grand Tournament: Handlock Edition
I greet you!
Standard Handlock with some Grand Tournament cards in the mix
+1 Frost giants - 1 Molten giants. Can be played earlier than Molten giants has synergy with the deck
+2 Argent Watchmen -2 Ancient Watchers. Very versatile, Adds more early game pressure also works well as a taunt. Very good against aggro decks.
+1 Tournament Medic - This is kind of a filler card and since im trying to include as many TGT cards as I can while still keeping this deck playable I guess I will give it a try it has good synergy with the deck basically you draw for free until its killed work well with Wilfred fizzlebang and any of the inspire mechanic cards also a great card to be used with the defender of argus stops aggro right in its tracks. this card is very replaceable and would probably be alot better in priest but this is my filler card until the actual expansion comes out and testing can be done
+1 Wilfred Fizzlebang -1 Emperor Thaurissan *Personal preference on this one*
+2 Gadgetzan Jouster -1 Zombie Chow and -1 Garrison Commander. PERFECT card for handlock because of all the high cost minions after doing the math you have around a 75% chance to have a 2/3 and I like those odds enough to run two with almost no drawbacks. Its good for early game control and its a key card in every aggro match up. In time I may change it to run just one copy as their are more suitable cards than this to play in handlock but with the current meta being more aggro than control running 2 is completely fine
*Note if your running into alot of aggro I would suggest lowering your card quality and swapping out Ragnaros, or a Sludge Belcher for a Hellfire you dont really need rag's damage you have way more than enough to finish off an opponent without him and running one belcher is perfectly fine because the deck has alot of healing and taunts anyway so taking one out wont hurt the deck but with 2 shadowflames you should have board control for the entire game.
Thanks for checking out my newest version of handlock dont forget to leave a like if you like what you saw! Check out my Grand Tournament Tempo mage as well http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/282295-nexus-champion-mage
Cool deck, I've always enjoyed looking at theorycrafts, and I play handlock. But like with all theorycrafts, it depends on the meta when the expansion is launched. But anyways cool idea!
Thanks for the support I appreciate it
Oh yeah for sure control warrior and imo priest as well, in priest you could buff it with power word shield, velens chosen, etc. and 4 points of healing is a pretty good hero power as well. I totally didnt take into the consideration the fatigue aspect of Trueheart being in warlock but now that I look at it again this is a pretty awful fit for the card lol
I am not really sure about this deck you don't t put 2 frost giant over molten i think that is wrong
The frost giants are a little faster than the molten giants IMO thats why I have 2. Originally when I first made this deck it was going to be 1 frost giant, 1 molten giant, and 2 mountain giants and I believe its totally okay to run one of each until we see how good/bad the frost giant actually is thanks for the feedback.
Argent watchman seems nice. I see him function as partly a zombie chow partly an ancient watcher. Not sure about Justicar Trueheart though. Horrible stats and she only saves some health (I think Siphon Soul does a better job as a 6 mana heal-and-do-something card). That late in the game you should have enough cards to not draw too much anyway imo.
I want so badly to make Justicar work in a deck but the stats just aren't their, I agree siphon soul would be a better fit thanks for the input
Np! I think she is better suited for a control warior deck. A problem with warlock is imo that the hero power gets weaker and weaker (you dont wanna draw too many cards late game). In warrior on the other hand you can 2 mana 4 armor is pritty sweet lategame. Justicar probably has potential other places, but I cant see them in warlock sadly.
