Introduction

Adventurer, do you desire a fiery quest? Then this deck will burn your enemies to the ground! With the introduction of Flamewakers a kind of deck became viable that I wanted to try for quite a long time. While the bare Flamewaker decks lack pressure and reliability, the addition of the Questing Adventurer sets this deck to the front of the ranks!

Overview

This deck plays in a control plus combo style with most times a bashing finish. You want to look for Questing Adventurer and Flamewaker and save as many low mana cards (most notably spare parts, you will get a lot of them) as possible. Also try to duplicate your valuable minions to quest and burn the heck out of this. At some point you get the most insane turn, play your key minions and one mana spells, clear the opponents board and are left with big threats that keep growing or your machine gun army. Fireball and Flamestrike for clears and removal. Archmage Antonidas as fallback win condition. Chromaggus to get more small spells or even duplicate your key minions. Emperor Thaurissan as a super value card in this deck, as most times you hold many cards in hand, which then can be played very fast with your key cards on the board.

Mulligan

Look for those Mana Wyrm and Clockwork Gnome, as they make your strong early game. Especially when you go second. Mech combos can also be kept, as well as Acolyte of Pain.

Replacements

The legendaries are optional. Replace them with whatever you want that makes sense to you, e.g. another Fireball or Flamestrike. Or you can go more the mech way and add from those deck lists. Or freeze. Enjoy your freedom, adventurer!

History

Version 1.1

After playing this deck for two days I tweaked it a bit. Most notably I removed Chromaggus as it is just way to slow and in its place added Emperor Thaurissan. He turns out to be amazing in this deck, as he enables impressive hand dumps with your adventurers or mini flame canons. I also added one Echo of Medivh to be able to get more trump cards. Especially duplicating mirror images turned out to be really fun and effective in the current meta. They buff your adventurers for free and in addition annoy the shit out of Grim Patron warriors, as the pub is now guarded by pretty girls. Also Gnomish Inventor for immediate card draw plus body. Live saving was the addition of Blizzard, as it gives you a necessary tool against aggro and tempo decks. Works wonders. Especially with Thaurisan and Wakers. I'm currently even playing a second one.

Version 1.2

Removed one Arcane Intellect for Gadgetzan Auctioneer as it is a much more impressive card draw machine, especially with your 0-Mana hand after one Thaurisan turn. Also did some other balancing of draw vs. minions vs. spells. Streaked from 14 to almost 9 with this version.
