Update:
Since Arcane Giant is out and the Wild Pyromancer + Commanding Shout Combo has proven to be good in OTK Worgen Warrior a combo Grim Patron Deck is playable again.
Playing Arcane Giant instead of Worgen as a finisher allows you to have extra deck slots for stuff like Whirlwind and Grim Patron-
Just felt like sharing this one again. It is probably the closest a deck has been to the old Warsong Commander Grim Patron Warrior.
The deck has seen high legend play by multiple players.
This is my version of the Grim Patron Warrior.
I tried to built the deck all around card draw. The more cards you draw the more likely you will have the right cards to combo in your hand at the same time.
I did reach legend Rank 1 with it on April 18th. (just for a short time but still)
Also I did reach legend Rank 1 with it on May3th. (after changing one card)
If you want to see the deck in action, follow me on twitch ( http://www.twitch.tv/senfglas_ )
Legend Rank 1 April 18th:
Legend Rank 1 May 3rd:
Mulligan
vs Aggro:
Fiery War Axe , Unstable Ghoul, Whirlwind, Frothing Berserker (Dread Corsair if you have a weapon already and Death's Bite if you have a Dread Corsair already)
vs Control:
Fiery War Axe , Death's Bite, Gnomish Inventor, Slam(Emperor Thaurissan against really slow control decks only, Dread Corsair if you have a weapon already)
How to play:
vs Aggro:
Just try to fight for board control as much as you can in general. Anything else should be fine then. Against Face Hunter: try to race them with your weapons and Frothing Berserker
vs Control:
Try to draw as many cards as you can while not loosing the board too much (the more you draw the more likely you will be able to play your little combos). Play a couple of Grim Patron if you know your opponent should not be able to clear them or just save them for the combo with Warsong Commander ( + Commanding Shout eventually). Also always keep in mind that you might be able to almost oneshot your opponent with a big Frothing Berserker especially after you got some value from Emperor Thaurissan.
Questions and answers:
Why do you not play...
...Grommash:
It could be good but i never saw a reason to put him in. I think I do not need him as a finisher. And playing him just as a big guy makes my opponent get more value out of his single target remove cards (which he usually does not get against this deck).
...Axe Flinger:
I do not need face damage on like turn 4 or in midgame in general. I prefer playing Gnomish there for an extra card draw. It also is not the best finisher in this deck in late game.
...Inner Rage:
My Mana curve is pretty low already. Still it could work well with Acolyte, Grim Patron, Battle Rage.
...Bouncing Blade:
Why would I? The card is just too inconsistent in my opinion. Also I do not want to fill up my entire board with Grim Patrons. Because in case of AoE damage I need space for new Patrons to spawn.
In general I think it is always much easier to say what card could be good in a deck than saying what card would I remove for that. And all the cards I am playing right now are working just fine.
Also check out this 2 minute video FailCraft made about the deck.

i played 5 games in cassual and all 5 loses, dont know what to think
okey after 10++ games i won 2 times when i managed to do combo with warsong Commander + grim patron and commanding shout, all other games were loses
He is top 20 legend with this deck. Perhaps the problem isn't the deck...
fun to play affordable for all budgets , and heal cancer, only change i made is one Axe Flinger and a Bouncing Blade for a Frothing Berserker and Dread Corsair
You can't remove Frothing from this deck. Inventors would be better to remove.
What y'all think about -1 Gnomish Inventor for +1 Bouncing Blade ? ? ?
BB is unreliable and you don't really need it anyway.
The thing is, if it hits a grim patron you get 2 more from it.
It's more reliable with Commanding Shout
Oh I had no idea the card did that cause I can't read English.
try it more. this deck is a learning deck. Many different variations of it. This one is seems like it'd do better vs aggro. I don't see the late game in it or the removal for big minions, so i suppose it works off of the quick style play, and finishes once grim is set up.
I'm playing a similar version, started at rank 16, lost and lost to 18, and jumped to 8 once i learned to play it. I am a legend play here, so i know it takes time to learn a deck. If you do not have goal or purpose with the deck, you won't be good with it. For example, vs certain classes i hold out for an OTK (ex: paladin because i know that grim is useless to EqUality consecrate).
NONE!
Gromm is a MAJOR card, maybe a Leeroy can *almost* do de face work, but nothing else.
But grommash isn't even included in the deck above....?
You could sub one in for a Dread Corsair or a Gnommish Inventor.
I think this deck urgently needs Bouncing Blade. It synergizes just so well with everything in this deck (esp. with Commanding Shout and Grim Patron. I'm also considering replacing some cards with Axe Flinger.
Still playtesting, some ideas don't fit my style but in general the deck is just awesome, thank you
Hey, this deck is insane. The Warsong Commander combination with Grim Patron is sooo good.
I dont have Frothing Berserker, and changed them for Raging Worgen, it works just fine. I also replaced the Gnomish Inventor for Gurubashi Berserker, they combo nicely too.
Finally I replaced a Cruel Taskmaster for an Armorsmith. It saved me a couple of times from dying...the armor gain from the "Patron wave" is insane
it's not consistent enough.. when you get good draws it is good, when you don't it sucks.. honestly this might have worked well in the heavy hunter meta 1 week ago but right now it kinda sucks.. couldn't win priests/druids at all unless i drew perfectly. imo too heavily reliant on combos to work well.
tl;dr: it works when you get good draws and when your opponent doesn't know how to play against it.. wont see much of it after a week or so..
I don't really understand the need for Dread Corsair, it's pretty awful in your opening hand unless you have a weapon, and even when you do have a weapon you usually only gain 2 Armor on top of your 3/3 Taunt for the mana reduction. I cut it for an Azure Drake and really think just having the extra card to be able to draw into the combo, keep vs control etc. is markedly better. In a way it's effectively a Taunt because they won't risk you being able to Whirlwind etc. with Spellpower.
For people who keep saying this deck just loses to board clear, it really doesn't if you play your cards right. I have a decent match up vs Handlock, what it comes down to is being able to get the Battle Rage in for a huge draw off the back end of the combo so you can combo again on the following turn.
Problem I'm finding with this deck is that around turn 7 or so I'm completely out of cards and if I lose board control, the game is over. Is there room for a larger minion such as Boom in this deck?
