Hello everyone,

after a long time of not playing contructed Hearthstone, I was absolutely fascinated of the Blood-DeathKnight-cards. So after some first testing and comparing with other decks, I came up with a deck that I'm finally quite satisfied with as it can handle a lot of stuff. It did surprisingly well against the hordes of deathknight-players (especially Frost) and also against aggro-decks (Shaman, Warrior) or even against some control decks like Priest, though due to lack of time, I only got into the silver stage of the ranked ladder... So, if you like this deck and maybe have some inspiration from it, I would be very happy if you could give some thumbs-up to this deck ;)

Here some thoughts about the deck:

The basic idea of the Discover-minions is great, as even 3x Blood rune decks can have access to Frost or Unholy spells, which adds a lot of power. However, all the power already in your deck is not much worth if you can't draw it ! That's why I re-added Chillfallen Baron to my deck in order to help me with that. Vampiric Blood is also an essential card draw and the bonus-health is almost mandatory against the current aggro decks.

Speaking of which: I pondered again and again whether to keep or remove Corpse Explosion. In the end, it turned out that it is fantastic against zoo-decks like murloc-shaman, imp-warlock or mini-minions-paladin, so I kept this card instead of "hoping to discover it by chance" (which then may already be too late). Another good anti-small-minion-card is Blood Boil as it not only clears the enemy small-HP-board quite fast but also keeps YOU alive during the early rush-phase.

To have some additional anti-aggro, I like the taunts of Gnome Muncher and Deathbringer Saurfang, whereas the later one has great synergy with all the lifesteal-cards of triple-blood - having an additional taunt every turn for 0 mana can exhaust many rush-decks pretty soon!

Another taunt is Taelan Fordring, who mainly serves for fishing for the big value cards, most of all Soulstealer who gets rid of the big minion-boards with ease, as used in relic-DemonHunter- or Unholy-DK-decks. After Soulstealer, Patchwerk and Alexandros Mograine can also help greatly in weakening your enemy, one way or the other ;)

As for the tech-cards: I mainly added Plaguespreader because I had him from a pack and maybe also for the undead-synergy of Nerubian Vizier, though it turned out, that in longer games he replaced some enemy Lord Marrowgar or Sire Denathrius that were sitting in the opponents hand for a while and were waiting for the fatal blow :D Smothering Starfish is good against the current deathrattle-heavy meta (and taunts and divine shields...) and Rustrot Viper is great against the many Deathknights or also Warriors and Paladins. Against Caster-classes, this card still helps as additional card draw through trading!

Only major weakness of this deck I was fearing, would be the lack of corpses in the early turns without 1 mana cards like Noxious Cadaver, Body Bagger or Heart Strike, which I had used in the beginning of this deck with pleasure. After some experience, it turned out that Soulbreaker is almost sufficient enough for the start, especially if you discover Heart Strike or Plagued Grain early! Later on you have more than enough corpses from your minions or hero power for even huge Corpse Explosions !

So last but not least - Mulligan: I would recommend to keep Soulbreaker in the starting hand, followed by Chillfallen Baron, Hematurge and Vampiric Blood for card draw and maybe Astalor Bloodsworn as a joker for Ping/Armor/final blow, once the Manathirst is fulfilled. Against potential rush-classes like Shaman, Paladins or other Deathknights, you might want to keep one Blood Boil or Corpse Explosion in your hand.

I wish you a lot of fun and success in testing out this deck !

PS: don't be scared from the high dust-costs, many of the cards are from the core-set and additionally, many deathknight-cards being also core-cards! Really essential to craft I would consider SoulbreakerVampiric Blood (both very cheap) and Soulstealer and maaaybe Astalor Bloodsworn as he is a big hitter/win condition later on (and you can also use him in any other class decks). If you can afford it, then Alexandros Mograine can also help with consistent damage, as most of the time, you will rather go for board control than having enough pressure and minion-power to overrun your enemy.
