Proof of legends

I know, the queue if full of odd hunters already, but those are something that mostly reach only up to halfway in the diamonds ladder. Here is a more flexible deck which scales well, at times, even against druids.

Mulligan strategies:

The idea is to kill your opponent faster than they can kill you. After playing Tavish, you MUST use your hero power between the spells. Count your total damage before starting to play cards in your turn, and check if you have lethal in control matchups.

In general, keep 1-cost damage spells, such as Arcane Shot, On the Hunt, Overwhelm, Rapid Fire, Wound Prey. For specific matchups, see below. If you're holding The Coin, you might keep Lock and Load as well in the slower matchups. Play it on the 2nd or 3rd turn when you can spam 3-4 spells behing into it.

On the Hunt or Wound Prey into Kill Command is always 6 damage.

If the deck doesn't fit your tastes, you can try swapping out an Explosive Shot or two for Clockwork Automaton.

Pirate quest warrior

Alongside with the other spells, keep Powershot. Use your spells to clear the board, rush for 0-cost hero power for free control. After playing Tavish, you can usually clear board and go face with the extra damage, forcing them to lose. Kill all cannons the turn they appear, no exceptions.

 Pain quest warlock

Alongside the other mulligans, keep Aimed Shot. Do not use On the Hunt unless you have nothing else to play. Only play Wound Prey if you can kill the hyena. This is because they will heal off your minions, so a clear board on your side is a win.

Use your hero power to face every turn. Every single turn. No need to rush the quest. Use excess mana to the spells. The most important thing is to keep a 3+ damage output to face per turn, as they will reach 15-ish HP by your 4th turn, and usually you have a lethal on the 6th turn. Always play damage spells in the face, nowhere else unless its Overwhelm, Powershot or Explosive Shot. If you're holding one of these and they happen to have a Darkglare out, use the spell to get rid of it.

I only play Tavish in like every 2nd or every 3rd game, as it tends to give less damage at times on the last turn of the game.

 Token druid

Rush the quest until the end as fast as you can. If you happen to have The Coin, use it before they turn it into a 1-cost card. Kill Malygos, Lady Anacondra etc. but use rest of the damage to face. The game is never lost on turn 7. Keep pressing with your free hero power, and scaling power you gain from 1-mana Tavish, Baited Arrow, Explosive Shot, Kill Command and so on.

 Buff paladin

Keep Powershot, kill his minions. Nothing else to see here.

 Shadow priest

Kill his minions, expecially Voidtouched Attendant. You scale better, so it should be pretty even match a little bit more to your favour.

 Quest druid

This match is most likely a loss due to their free armor gained, but keep your head cool. Rush quest and keep your board empty, so they do not get free attack bonus from Park Panther. Key to this matchup is to complete the quest in time before you get killed. Remove Guff from the board if you don't have a lethal.

 Odd hunter (mirror)

Rush quest completion, this match is a coin flip. Whoever finishes their quest first tends to win.
