Now tell us how you really feel.
I love the idea and lost to it twice on my way to legend yesterday :)
Same bad Matchups like Libram Paly, those being Warlock and Priest, which annoyingly I am facing all the time.
Also dies against Rush Warrior or any real fast aggro decks. So yea...Tier 3 at best.
I went 12-2
from Silver 7 to Diamond 10 and it felt like a solid deck, really don't know why people aren't doing well with it :c

Same here, posting to give credit to this deck.
From D10 to D5 with a nice winning streak (lost my first match then 10 wins in a row)

Step1: Create the deck.
Step2: Play an insane amount of games till you get the Vol´Jin achievement,
Step3: Delete the deck.
71% Winrate?! Please send proof dude. I went 1-8 and when i read other comments, im not the only one here.
90% of Hearthstone players aren't Dex. I went 19-7 with it, its really good, expect against Warlocks
ive went 5-5 its not bad buts its not a deck for the grind, with my extra win stars it helps, fun deck overall tho
Dekkster has become one of those streams that doesn't care about quality decks anymore, sold his soul to blizzard's programation and mind control.
EU, Diamond 6, fell straight down to 10. 1:18. Ran the Deck parallel in my Deck Simulator (it still has problems with Vol'jin), after 1.2 Mio simulated Games against the Meta it came out with 37.9%. 32:13 probably only with insane Luck or the Worst MMR in history.
I'm with you...1-9...in bronze. People grind for dust, takes forever then Dekkster throws up a vid with some catchy title and you end up with a dog deck like this. It's irresponsible...
Care to share your Deck Simulator, pretty please?
Nice deck tho, got me some nice wins there. But overall i`m in loss, like only 35%. Wins were nice tho, those big cards at 5 mana. Still, as Unripe said, you need insane luck to get it to 71%.
how the fvck can you "simulate the meta" with a tool ?
Sadly i am not allowed. The Simulator is one of our "Fun-Projects" in our Company (Big Data Analysis) for Students to learn how to implement and work with Data from different sources. Normally we are doing Data Analysis for Finance or Medical, but that is not a "fun" entry point into it.
Thats actually pretty easy and a few different solutions are possible.
The easiest is to implement just the meta decks und let them play against each other for 100, 1000, 1 Mio times. This is something thats been done by a lot of companys for Playtesting their Games and Fans even created this for Hearthstone years ago. Just search for Hearthstone Deck Simulator and you can find a few, https://www.hearthmatic.com/ is one of them. To break it down, you just have a bunch of Hearthstone-Bots playing the Decks against each other, so nothing new or complicated. This solution has the pro, that you can easily change the Values of one Card and see the outcome directly in the "simulated meta". But one con would be, that you have to implement or change everything every time you want to change a deck.
The more complicated solution is using a Simulator with an AI (something we are doing here). Our Students learn how to implement and use an AI by hand or with an Neural Network.
The meta has changed or I'm really bad. 0-5.... I've had some of the worst luck too. Commencement got me Vol'Jin three times in a row.
Edit: make that 0-9. How??!!!! I'm having the worst luck ever.
It's just top heavy (too many high cost cards leading to you making dead plays in the early game) which doesn't work in the current meta. Maybe if the secret pulling weapon was still 1-3 durability you'd have a better shot but it would just benefit other archetypes of paladin that are faster. I don't think it's a deck you should use for climbing if that's your goal since it's not consistent.
Went 1-10 and switched to Demon Hunter. And started winning again at diamond rank 5. Good thing I wasn't really trying to climb. If I really wanted to climb seriously I'd just play secret pala. But that's boring AF.
