This deck took me to top 20 Legend in just three hours of play at the start of the new season. It has great matchups vs all decks except for aggro DH, where it is a little worse than a coinflip if you don't get your high-roll.
You have 4 cards you are looking to hit before turn 8, Alura, 2 tip the scales, and Polkelt.
Always mulligan all of your murlocs (Redscale can be held if you already have Alura, and an activator.). Always keep tour guide, battlemage, and Alura. Keep the weapon vs aggro, but not vs control. Everything else should be pitched searching for Alura.
You almost always win if you get your highroll. Turn 4, 28 mana is hard to recover from.
Why no pally quest? This deck is already very good against control/midrange, and vs aggro you don't want to waste a card space in your hand for the quest, and you can't mulligan it vs aggro without ruining your Alura activation.
vs aggro, you want to trade as often as you can, you're just trying to survive till you can get a swing turn. Vs control you want to make threatening boards every turn, and try to get them to burn removal poorly.
When you win with Alura, its a lot of fun. Feels very much like a Barnes deck, but better. Enjoy the deck, have fun with it... and I'm sorry if this becomes popular.
Edit: Took out the Banana Venders, they seemed to be a liability against aggro, and that is most games. Replaced with Second Redscale, and Nozdormu. They Redscales search out either amalgam or your 8/8, and you can make more use of 10 mana than most aggro decks. My suggestion is to NOT make this adjustment unless you feel very comfortable with how to navigate the control warrior match-up.
Here is a link to Dekkster having some good luck with my list. https://youtu.be/X-BXYLDgusg
Would love to hear if you have made any mods to this deck -- thinking of crafting Polkeit soon!
This is the most stable version of the list, but I have been changing out 2/3 cards depending on the matchups i'm hitting. Vs aggro you can drop out the banana venders for a second redscale dragon tamer, and a scalelord. I don't like the list as much, but it does handle exactly aggro demon hunter better, because your 2/3 draw a taunt card is very good.
Bump, as I've made a couple of edits.
Kinda fun. Went 6-4 on Diamond 5. But mostly because i played it badly.
If you want something different and fun besides pure and whatever else i can recommend this :D
Legit enough :D
Gorry Hell. Grats! Glad to see its working for you. Legend on the 3rd of the month is spectacular.
Feels like a silly joke of a deck.
Lose every aggro/tempo matchup. Very card and luck dependant. Not consistant.
Please share your win %
I have an unusually high winrate with this deck. bravo. at face value it doesnt look too great but even without the combo u can overwhelm ppl
That's exactly the point. All of the cards in the deck cost less than 4 mana, except for a your auto win pieces. So you get to curve out very smoothly when you don't pull Alura.
