Hello Everyone!
What I present to you today is the result of my own deckbuilding, although you may have already seen a similiar list, because it seems like this is the best way to play Malygos Druid in this expansion. The only other deck with Malygos I have encountered since SA release was a variation with the quest, but it's definitely weaker (I will try to tinker with it too).
The whole point of the deck is to ramp up quickly and try not to lose in the early game. Usually it's not going to be way too dificult, but you have to be carefull to not waste your resources too early. The best combo when you are at 10 mana will be the following:
1. Play Forest Warden Omu + Germination, so you will have 10 mana and a fresh spellburst on the new Omu,
2. Play Malygos and Moonfire on your opponent's face, so that you will be back at 10 mana again,
3. Finish your opponent off with double Swipe and the other Moonfire.
The whole OTK requires you to have 7 specific cards in hand, but the deck provides enough draw for you to actually be able to have it pretty fast. It deals axactly 30 damage, so it can get tricky against Warriors because of their armor.
Alternatively, there is another combo where you play Jepetto Joybuzz in order to draw a 1 mana Malygos. Then you can play Germination on the Malygos, and boom! You have +10 Spell Damage for 5 mana.
In short, there are a lot of possible combos in this deck, so you will have to figure them out during certain games, where you can draw different cards in different order. Sometimes you will also have to use Malygos and Swipe to clear the board and then you will have to deal with your opponent without it, which is still possible, so never concede!
Replacements:
Generally, I don't recommend replacing anything, but if you really feel like it, you can try to fit in Speeker Gidra. Maybe instead of Wild Growth, if you think you can ramp quickly without it. Gidra offers more survivability.
As for legendaries literally every single one of them is necessary here, so I don't recommend cutting any.
I faced this exact deck using the temp rogue deck that's popular right now, and barely beat it. My opponent hit in to his ramps way too late to capitalize on them. This looks like the other Druid variants out there of this archetype right now where it is either feast or famine. When it works, it is a beautiful steamroll. When it doesn't work, you feel tilted.
This deck is very cool, I'm currently 6/2 with it at Diamond 5.
I swapped one Breath of Dreams for second Overflow, because it lets me draw the combo pieces faster.
Thanks for the review, I'm very happy that you liked my deck :P
I've also considered putting in a second Overflow, but ultimately went for just one. I will test it more tonight and maybe edit the deck, if it will really be better.
