First of all a huge thank you to GarGu0iL one of my awesome viewers who convinced me to try Murloc Pally. I altered just 2 cards from GargGu0il's list as I didn't want to play Octosari and feel Murloc tidehunters are a little weak so removed one to produce this line up. I went 8-0 on stream and then a further 14-0 off stream so far. Totally blown away by it.
Here is a little clip of us destroying a priest: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/642807568
You can check out my stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/many_faces. I stream every Friday and then sporadically in the week:
Mulligan:
Imprisoned Sungill - ALWAYS keep
Coldlight Seer - (ALWAYS If you have Imprisoned Sungill and sometimes if you think a fair few early drops will stick)
Underlight Angling Rod - Always a keep as it's such an awesome murloc generator.
Murloc Tidecaller - in the absence of Imprisoned Sungill this is second best.
Murgur Murgurgle - also a keep
Hench-Clan - potentially a keep if playing 2nd to a DH, but you normally overwhelm them either way surprisingly!
BEWARE OF BOARD CLEARS! Particularly against priest - E.G. be sure to think about Breath of the Infinite and Holy Nova dealing 2 damage to the board. And don't overly commit if you can't buff them. Strategically make sure you keep your murlocs out of this range when these spells are imminent and ideally our important ones above the 3 damage Penance if possible. You should outrace them! It is good to time imprisoned sungills so they benefit from a buff several turns later :)
You don't think 2 x Toxfin is necessary?
Hi Jonesy, I think if you're coming up against a lot of taunts or big minions then it could be worth considering. The way I always make a change is choose the one card I'm thinking of swapping out and then play a number of games and decide how I would feel if that was actually a Toxfin or the given card in each game. Perhaps a Hogsteed or a fishflinger could be swapped out?
