How does Elise the Enlightened work in this? There's obviously duplicates but does it just count the cards remaining in your deck?
You have to draw cards from deck until there are no duplicates in it. Then you can use Elise to copy your hand from left side. So make sure if you have space to copy right cards.
May I make a suggestion? You can add Germination on top of or in place of swipe if you’d like. Sometimes I get a very pesky opponent like priest who stays at 30 health and then gets armor from galakrond. Maly + germination plus 2 moonfire + swipe = 36. If they have a Khartut Defender Wall you can’t get rid of, that can be a problem too... Maly + 2x germination + 2 moonfire = 32 to face, no swipe to pop their defenders for healing. I don’t find myself short of card draw, so I replaced crystal merchant withWorthy Expedition - an extra Starfall, Wrath, Oasis Surger, or even Keeper of the Grove for a silence can be a lifesaver.
Exotic Mountseller orYsera, Unleashed can be helpful to refill the board while waiting to get your combo... but maybe drawing cards faster is better.. ymmv.
The combo is about reducing cost of Malygos and Elise the Enlightened, adding some high cost minions will make this slower, because you can’t have other minions on hand to work it properly. If your opponent have full hp and armor, copy your hand to gain copy of Malygos and Moonfire, core is playing cards from left side of your hand, because Elise the Enlightened copy hand from left. So in total you can do 44 damage with 4 Moonfires and 18 damage with 2 swipes (if you reduced cost of Malygos to 0). And you answered yourself in the end, quick drawing is better, because some decks can overplay you if you are too slow.
Germination is more reliable than Elise - have to wait for all duplicates out of deck, which doesn’t always happen. I usually win with Maly, germination, 2 moonfire, swipe - 36 damage does the trick. Gives flexibility if you need an early swipe to stay alive too. I just run one germination. I ran Ysera for a while because I found it could buy me time if waiting for that last combo piece to appear. I think I may replace it with more card draw or that 3-drop that can freeze an enemy for a turn.
Sometimes I have to use Swipe to survive or deal with some combo minions. So copies of Moonfire are necessary in this case. Surely you can change her for Germination or try some new ways of combo, but Elise the Enlightened works well for me, also she can help you to finish your opponent which have huge amount of stacked armor, so I don’t even think about cutting her.
I will try it from your list - mine was doing well but aggro is brutal in d5 and up... yours has a couple more 2-drops.
You are right. First I tried to play Kael’thas and another Bogbeam instead of 2x Steel Beetle, but aggro showed me the change is needed.
Hi. I climbed from diamond 9 to diamond 4. It's very good against priests, warlock's, rogues, mages. But any aggro decks are difficult to beat. I had 11-6 winrate. It's a lot of fun to play this druid. Thanks.
Hello, Iam glad for your results. Yes, aggro is hard to handle, try to keep Hidden Oasis on starting hand, it can stop Face Hunters well. DH is problem because his draw power is equal yours. On the other side, I didn’t lose any single game against priest.
I always kept Oasis in starting hand when I play against aggro, but for DH's my healing and armor it's like a joke ;)
DH is problem at all. In many cases I cant even beat his odd version in wild with Hadronox druid.
