This month, after 4 years of playing a children's card game, I succeeded in making my push to Legend. All the other lists got me stuck into D5, so I made some changes that seemed fitting, as I removed some lackluster cards and put in tempo-oriented ones.
Some of the card choices:
- No Imprisoned Antaen - Too slow and too expensive, usually bricked my hand.
- No 2nd copy of Skull of Gul'dan - One is enough, as you don't want to draw it too early. Otherwise, you may not be able to proc its outcast.
- No Warglaives of Azzinoth - The main reason they're absent is that I couldn't afford them, but in most mirror matches, it lost the enemy's game more often than not. The list is probably better without them.
- No Aldrachi Warblades - Not worth running after the nerf, both Eye Beam and Umberwing are better in the early game.
- 1x Sightless Watcher - Great 2-drop. Nice statline, great effect and requires no setup. Would remove the Ooze and put a second one if rogues and DH weren't so popular.
- 1x Inner Demon - Finisher, half of the wins couldn't be possible without it.
- 1x Illidari Felblade - It was the most tempo-oriented card, that was left in my scarce collection. There are many options for replacement, Maiev probably being the best one

(Keep in mind that the stats are until D2, I finished the push on mobile, where I went 8-2)
I don't get DH decks. I tried it for the quest (after the second nerf) since I have just come back to the game but when I play I just get bad draws. Whenever I am against DH they go battlefiend into raging felscreamer into priestess almost every time (which is basically unbeatable because even with a deck which can deal with this the second priestess is not far behind) but whenever I have played this deck I don't even draw battlefiend lol. Must be for the lucky people. That being said even though I get bad draws with this deck, it's so oppressive that basically any deck which isn't tier one may as well not be played since this deck just beats any home made deck and it also beats the meta decks more often than not.
I feel ya, mate! Bad draws are the reason I made this version. Here, I've maximized the amount of 1-drops, in order to have better chance of getting one in the opening hand and removed Antaens and 2nd Skull of Guldan, cuz they brick your hand more often than not. This is the most Bad Luck-proof list I could make.
Thx for this deck, 8-2 so far at D3. I was stuck with some other classes deck, but this one seems a good one to climb again. Inner demon is a good add, it's DH pyroblast after all.
Update : I'm 16-9 right now. Some bad matchup I had was against priest and rogue, you can't just beat them if they outvalue you early game and if they play galakron. In a mirror game, you want to have a better early game than your counter part, and be careful of their own Priestress of fury.
Against Priest and Mage, I recommend fishing for Felscreamer and Priestess. Rogue requires all the early minions you can get. THe deck isn't as oppressive as most players think it is, but with enough games, you should be able to reach Legend :)
