Deck is very fun and is working well for me right now, i feel like i've found a nice balance with the amount of dragons needed for the Stormhammer and other "control dragon for x effect" or "hold a dragon for x effect" in this deck aswell as ways to end the game when you're running out of steam with the Leeroy Jenkins, Toxic Reinforcements with hero power and Kill Command with a Springpaw or Animal Companion.
You could swap out a Dragonmaw Poacher for a 2nd Kill Command if you feel like you're not seeing any dragons. Or add in another Dragonmaw Poacher for a Blazing Battlemage if you feel like you're bumping into a lot of dragons on ladder.
Toxic Reinforcements i think is being slept on a bit, it's a simple 1 mana cost card that nets me 6+ damage each game, since you lack card draw and not much generation you will want to weave in hero powers with your cards to go the distance in some matches, Toxic Reinforcements has closed me out quite a few games.
Dragonbane just increases the power level of the deck overall so if you dont have it you're going to notice it, it can be dropped on 4 if you have board and dont expect removal but if you have other 4 mana plays then maybe you hold onto it for Dragonbane + coin + hero power turn 5 play or if you have no coin then turn 6 Dragonbane + hero power. If you can get Dragonbane to stick then you've probably won.
I personally mulligan for for Stormhammer and good 1 drops like Blazing Battlemage, and Toxic Reinforcements. I will also keep Faerie Dragon since it's a solid aggro 2 drop 3-2 in stats and can't be targeted, it's stick and will normally get u 6+ damage a game.
Gameplan wise, it's all about the face, naturally you're aggro. With how much damage you can put out early alongside ending the game with face damage and the lack of heavy armor/healing in the meta right now, you want to be hitting their face alot, SMOrc. There are times where you will want to trade when the value trade is huge or when you have your lethal outs but you just need to trade a bit to survive till your next turn to finish, you'll know when to do this just from playing and knowing what cards your opponent can play and what damage is on board etc.
I dont have Nightmare Amalgam for what I can repalce this?
Hey guys!
I made a showcase of this deck and I have to admit I had some good results with it.
In the video bellow you can see me playing this deck. In the first game I am fighting a reno hunter and even though he had solid draw I got to kill him fast thanks to stormhammer. Second game is against deathrattle rogue which I have been getting a lot on ladder lately. He got the good draws and almost stabilized in the end but it was too late for him
I hope you can enjoy the video :)
Thanks for the trying out my list and making a video on it, also humble opinion on my name xD
I don't have the Dragonbane, how important he is? Can I stick with King Krush for a while, or there is better substitution?
He adds a fair bit of power to the deck and is one of the strongest cards in the list, kingkrush is 9 mana which is too expensive, most games end before turn 9 i wouldn't run it. run a 2nd animal companion which also adds more lethal outs and is a decent card to play on 3 aswell as being another activator for kill command.
Running a similar list. I would suggest double Diving Gryphon over Animal Companion and Dragon Breeder. The 4/1 stats are good at clearing up early boards and it draws you a rush from your deck. My list changes I will put below for more context:
- 1 Dragon Breeder/ -1 Animal Companion/ -1 Poacher/ -2 Dwarven Sharpshooter
+2 Diving Gryphon/ +1 Evasive Wyrm/ +2 Tasty Flyfish
The flyfish is just something I am testing, especially with a few good turn 3 dragons in the deck. But sharpshooter is probably a little better
wyrm and tasty fish are too slow the gryphons are something i've considered tbh, if i did add the gryphons i'd probably swap a poucher and breeder for it, i've been bumping into a fair few dragon decks so i've been keeping the 1 poacher in right now. animal companion just is a great tempo play on 3 alongside as extra lethal outs and extra kill command beast, not worth dropping for a gryphon.
i will test gryphons in for the breeder and a dwarven sharpshooter, but i find sharpshooter to be very nice at helping me find a drop to play on 1 and also being able to target a minion with hero power has been very useful in situations where it keeps your board alive and healthy while just going face with minions, faerie dragons have been doing 6,9 sometimes 12 damage a game for me.
I think removing breeder at the very least is fair because it was in the deck as a fair 2 drop stat wise with the function of giving me another dragon which acts as an activator for alot of the deck and also a bit more fuel. But if a gryphon was in its place the gryphon would draw me another rush minion to act as the fuel which breeder was there for. I think the deck can handle having 1 less dragon in the deck and the benefits would appear the be decent, i'll give that change a go in a bit thanks for the input.
Edit: tested gryphon they feel very nice, added to list.
How important is Leeroy Jenkins? I dont have it
Leeroy Jenkins is such a greate legendary card, a lot of aggro decks have him. I recommeds you to craft him
pretty important he just makes the deck stronger at closing out games, you can play the deck without him but since he's a standard class legendary that's been in most aggro decks since he was released, he's a very safe craft. If you don't have him you can easily just add something else like another animal companion or diving gryphon.
Leeroy as classic neutral legendary is a must craft sooner or later. I guess beside Zilliax (unfortunately not a classic, so it will rotate) one of the few cards I recommend everyone to have. There will always be a deck in meta where Leeroy is good with.
most of the cards are important cuz they resemble aggro cards...
if u dont have Leeroy try the 6 mana 5/2 charge it may help
Hey what was the ranks for this winrate?
played it with other decks around 8 to 2 i expect a lower winrate when you play it at low legend+ and also smallish sample size take with grain of salt
im playing with this deck right now and i beated highlader mage and galakrond priest and im at rank 5
