1. Invoke Galakrond, the Nightmare with Praise Galakrond!, Seal Fate, Shield of Galakrond and upgrade twice.
2. Play a lot of spells with Gadgetzan Auctioneer to empty your deck quickly.
3. Play Malygos and put it back in the deck with Togwaggle's Scheme a couple of times.
4. Play the most upgraded Galakrond, the Nightmare and draw 4x 0-mana Malygos. Deal 46 damage with 2x Sinister Strike.
5. Jobs done.
Whenever 46 damage is not enough to kill your opponent it should be a good idea to run a Platebreaker in the deck for sure.
Easy. Save a prep and eviscerate for armor decks. Then you have a 70 damage combo. If they have more than 70 health, you’re doing something wrong
Technically you can deal 51 damage, because you also get a 5/2 weapon when you play Galakrond, the Nightmare. But with all the value you can use I don't think your opponent will often get a ton of armour. If that does happen often then I would take a Cobalt Spellkin out for a Platebreaker.
Looks like a decent deck. May I suggest perhaps including Myra's unstable element? Perhaps that could speed things up a bit?
Yeah I thought about Myra's Unstable Element aswell and I actually had it in the deck the first moment when I theorycrafted it, but I figured that the deck has already decent draw so I dropped it for something that helps surviving. I think it's also too greedy to run Myra's Unstable Element, but that totally personal. Maybe if the deck isn't fast enough it might be the go to card to include in the deck.
This deck will have plenty of value and draw. I watched rogue galakrond stream and it’s difficult to even get hand space to play a fully upgraded galakrond, let alone unstable element. The only time element would be playable is if you had exactly malygos, 2 sinister strikes, upgraded galakrond, and element in hand. In most games, by the time that happens you’ll be almost through your deck anyway, which just makes element a dead card if you draw it early
Don't playable deck. Only for rofl. But I'll craft it.
Interresting that you think it's not playable. Could you explain why you think that?
Try watching streamers play rogue galakrond. It’s got a lot more value and control than you think. It’s definitely playable. Might be a bit weak to pirate warrior, but that’s always been a weakness for rogue.
I think, because it is very situated combo. You can draw main cards very late. Malygos can be a 29 topdeck, or don't draw a galakrond throughout the game.
I'm actually fine with Malygos and Galakrond, the Nightmare being on the bottom of the deck, because I only need them in the end of the game anyway. With Gadgetzan Auctioneer it's quite easy to empty your deck quickly and put Malygos in the deck multiple times. The turn after that you play Galakrond, the Nightmare and it's game over. The only risk in this deck is Togwaggle's Scheme, because if that card is your last card you have to wait 2 more turns before you can win.
Maybe use some draw cards instead Faceless Corruptor?
Faceless Corruptor is really good for survival. Let me give an example:
You have a 1/1 lackey that did his/her job with the battlecry and is only a 1/1 minion now. You change it into a 5/4 rush minion and this will improve your board control a lot.
The deck already has a lot of draw with the correct usage of auctioneer . I don't think that's necessary. But if you try the deck with changing the Faceless Corruptor, give us a feedback so we can see how that version is working.
Exactly! And with Bloodsail Flybooter there is a really good change that you can keep up with faster decks like Pirate Warrior. That's really important to absorb damage that would otherwise went face.
I don't have a lot dust for craft a lot of versions of one deck. Sorry.
But I understand my wrong thinking about this deck. Thanks for explanations
Well we are lucky that you get your Galakrond for free then. 1600 dust that you can use to craft other cards!
Wow this deck looks like rly complete version. I thought about -prep -sap; +extra faceless corruptor +thalnos. If draw only depends on auctioneer I scared about my luck on drawing cards so I prefer play with thalnos. Surely I will try this deck.
Yeah I have the feeling Sap will be only good against Mechs like Zilliax and I don't think we will see a lot of mechs in the beginning of the expansion. So there for I took the Sap out and put another Faceless Corruptor in the deck. I want to keep 1 Preparation in the deck, because if I take it out the I think the deck will probably run out of spells too quickly. I think you want to have half of your deck filled with spells and right now I have 14 spells in the deck so I think this amount is optimal.
Thanks for the feedback though I appreciate that!
Overall, solid deck.
Love the idea of including Bloodsail Flybooter in combination with Faceless Corruptor.
Shadowstep on Umbral Skulker seems powerful.
I am excited to see how close this is to the eventual best version of Galakrond Rogue.
Thanks! I'm very interrested to see how well this deck can do in the upcoming meta. The upcoming meta will be quite tempo orientated I feel like. With Faceless Corruptor and Bloodsail Flybooter there is a possibilty to survive the early game. The lackey generator with Galakrond, the Nightmare will also be very useful to fight in the early game.
Shadowstep fits perfectly in this deck and it's not only powerful with Umbral Skulker. You also can use it for Heistbaron Togwaggle, EVIL Miscreant, Cobalt Spellkin and Faceless Corruptor! So that's quite good if you ask me.
There might be still a few changes possible. But that also depends on what meta we will facing in a few days.
Thanks for your kind words I appreciate that!
On this note, I actually think the new one drop, Bloodsail Flybooter fits the slot quite nicely. Very good for combo activation and good for just having some early board presence and not floating mana. I also think SI:7 Agent is probably too weak, oddly enough, and sap won't help much against a faster meta or one with a lot of battlecries, which I imagine we will have.
After seeing all the cards, I think I would probably make these changes for my version of the deck:
-2 SI:7 Agent, -2 Cobalt Spellkin, -1 Sap, -1 Preparation,
+2 Shield of Galakrond +2 Faceless Corruptor, +2 Bloodsail Flybooter
I know that's a lot of changes, maybe not the most ideal, but what do you think? Faceless Corruptor is amazing with lackeys and Flybooter, I also really think you will need more than 4 invoke cards. Yes you only need 4 for galakrond, but if you have 3 invoke cards in the bottom half of your deck, you won't be able to get coins with skulker and you just lose since you won't have fuel for Auctioneer, so that's why I put 2 Shield of Galakronds, so you can more consistently generate coins, you get 2 more lackeys, and it's pretty nice for warding off aggro in the mid-game. I think 2 Preparations is a bit overkill. You can already generate so many coins, there aren't really enough expensive spells to justify running 2 in my opinion. The only cards it's really useful for are Eviscerate and Seal fate (since I took out a sap). It draws you a card with Auctioneer, sure, but could also end up being a dead card in your hand for a while and isn't even necessary for Malygos. At first I though Preparation and sap could fit, but there's just too much possibility for fast-paced and battlecry decks that you won't find good sap targets and having a dead preparation and sap in hand could be game-losing.
Any feedback on those changes or why they aren't good?
