The idea is to collect big spells in your hand and play King Phaoris multiple times
——–
instructions :
– complete the quest
– play : Spirit of the Shark + Hench-Clan Burglar
or Spirit of the Shark + Arcane Dynamo
try to discover big spells
also make sure you’re holding a dragon when playing Firetree Witchdoctor
top picks for rogue spells : Unidentified Contract & Assassinate
– when you collect enough big spells
play King Phaoris + Shadow step on him to play him again
– use Lab Recruiter to shuffle copies of King Phaoris or Tess Greymane
——–
i hope you like this idea and give the deck +1, thank you.
It seems fun but the problem is Spirit of the Shark is simply not a good card, and there's countless replay data to back that up, and you've built the main combo of your deck around that card. This meta is strong in aggro, so unless that changes this is just a fun deck, not a good deck unfortunately. Still props for actually deckbuilding, I'll give it a try if the meta shifts.
I was just going to update this deck by removing ×1 spirit and ×1 questing explorer and adding ×2 Pharaoh cat
I tried it and the win rate increased in ranked games, pharaoh cat is such a good card
The reasons for spirit and questing is that during playing you don't need two of these cards, the quest sometimes is done quickly and the spirit without some cards is way too bad on it's own
I tried this out without the quest and explorers (I don't have the quest) and it felt so clunky. The Firetree Witchdoctors rarely are active Without extra dragons and are just bad tempo or are dead in hand. I added an extra copy of Faerie Dragon and a crowd roaster to help but it didn't matter. Rogue just doesn't a big enough spell pool to justify King Phaoris. I liked the idea initially but after playing it, I decided it was too bad.
I think it's about the cards you mulligan
Mulligan for: backstab and pharaoh cat (I've just added this), try to keep a dragon in hand if you had the coin and since you don't have the quest dont start with "add from another class" cards and try to start with low cost cards
But I don't think that without the quest this could work, the quest is good with this one, it can defend you and works good with other cards
