Card choices
Blizzard -1
Ice Barrier -1
Cone of Cold -1
Too clunky against less board-centric decks in wild, you can go whole games without ice barrier being popped which leaves the other one dead in your hand. Blizzard is mostly a way worse frost nova that only has the advantage of giving more armor with arcane artificer and being another frost nova.
Cone of cold has the same issue, it literally cannot be played against some decks unless on your own minions. Clunky cards in such a cycle heavy deck don't make the cut.
Polymorph +2
Luna's Pocket Galaxy +1
Polymorph deals with huge threats early so you don't have to blow your freeze on single threats. Flexible against even warlock and 80% of the reason is to screw with big priest (fuck them). Any early threats can be dealt with, and gameplan disruption is present with this card.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy is getting buffed, but even before that it functioned as a one time use effect that lost tempo in a deck that doesn't care about tempo. Hitting Archmage with it basically means you win in a few turns. Hitting even only one apprentice allows you more flexibility in your emperor turns, so you don't have to wait to get the right cards to emperor. So you don't get into those turns where you die if you play emperor but you can't win if you don't. And I got really sick of Emperor being my last card of the deck.
Luna buff, mm :))
I haven't actually tried Luna's in this deck archetype, cool idea.
Yeah it allows you to be wayyy more consistent than relying on emperor hitting the right cards (you don't always draw him, and when you do, you might die playing him at that point)
Especially with the new buffs coming in, I think it's going to be sweet
I just saw the Luna's buff, that's gonna be so good for this deck
