Hello fellas!

With a few exceptions this has been a very minion focused meta, so I try to put together a deck that can deal consistently enough with that. Most of the Control list for paladin go for Lynessa Sunsorrow and N'Zoth, the Corruptor as tools to get the value and the board to outlast other decks with ridiculous amounts of resources like Cubelocks (or more hard control warlocks), Big Priest, but those cards carry other sinergy cards with them, like Adaptation, Blessing of Kings and Plated Beetle that can maybe aren't the best options out there.

On the same spot, let's be clear, you don't need to look out for the OTK to run Uther of the Ebon Blade, even if there isn't a big throw back for put Auctionmaster Beardo in your deck, you don't need him, if you run that package to have and eventual win condition against some bad matches that you wouln't win other ways like Kripp says on his video, well with this Pally you are in fact prepared against some of this matches already and the card spot of beardo, like the ones left by the cards in the Lynessa and the Deathrattle packages can be replaced with some more efficient answers to the meta.

Just like with other successful control decks you can play proactive if the match requires it, but is important to now that in general is a deck of answers, you run Potion of Heroism and Spikeridged Steed for value trades and two Spellbreaker for silence effect, Deathwing instead of N'zoth, Doomsayer instead of the beetles, Consecration instead of Kings, you can get the idea.

One of the Aldor Peacekeeper can be replaced with Gluttonous Ooze  or any tech cards you need, and if you aren't so sure about some of the cards in the list you can always can slide in some unexpeted tool like Blood Knight to twist the board against the aggro paladins out there, that work for me at some point on the ladder, but I stayed with this list when I started to see more Warlock and Priest.

Now, some quickies:

  • Call to Arms has to be played in a defensive way the most part of the time, but that's fine against almost all the decks you're gonna face in the ladder.
  • You're good against aggro, cubelock and most of the priest list, rogue and druid are more complicated but definitely not a threat.
  • You're gonna struggle against secret mage, a lot, but the amount of players playing that deck has been decreased a little bit and you aren't gonna lose all the time against them neither.
  • Secret Hunter can also be a problem, but isn't a very common match up anyway, so don't worry about it. But you can always tech your deck against this last two if you happen to need that in some ranks.
  • Ragnaros, Lightlord can be easily replaced, it's just that I like to play the most safe I can.

Sorry if my english was poor in some points, isn't my first lenguage. I hope you have the time to give this deck at least a try, and good luck reaching the high ranks!! remember to climb has much as you can to get a good position on the ladder after the next month changes.

Have fun.
