Played this quest all night and fell from rank 11 to 15 no stars, 0 wins. Was only able to complete the quest 3 times. Once died the turn following playing the portal, once died before being able to play the portal, and once died to fatigue vs Jaraxus where the imps were cleared repeatedly for about 5 turns (my only close game, needed 2 more damage). Terrible quest. They need to buff discard by allowing you to choose the cards that you discard, otherwise you will always be at the mercy of rngesus.
Dis card sucks
Out of 55 packs i got this one and the other Warlock legendary..... Thinking on dusting this..
Don't you at least wanna try the Warlock quest deck? You have the tools needed.
So I crafted this and been trying it out. Here's my first thoughts.
Succubus is finally viable.
With all the discard benefits in the new cards, this quest is very great. It's weak against Jade Druids and Elemental Shamans however.
I would love to try out a discard midrange warlock deck... somehow you'd have to provide the survivability to not get crushed by rush decks and then simply "sustain" with free minions every round
I REALLY love this card. There's only one thing that scares me: how many games do you win as zoo when you don't have a one drop? Like, if you play this card on turn one, you aren't playing a one drop or coining a two drop, and that's crucial lost tempo. If you wait to play this card later, like playing it on turn three with a two drop, you might risk discarding it or losing tempo by not playing a three drop. Even then, all that is predicated on you drawing it within your first few turns, and even with a hard mulligan that is a 50/50. It doesn't take a genius to tell this card is dead in the water as far as top decks go. As much as I want this card to be good, it seems like the stars must align a little too perfectly for this card to work well, and even when it does, it isn't a guaranteed victory.
You always get your quest in your starting hand, and if you don't play it on turn 1 because you want to play a 1-drop, then just play it before discarding anything. That way you don't miss on the quest and don't risk discarding it.
Yeah, I realized that later, but you still need to give up tempo at the beginning of the game to play this, on the turns where tempo is most crucial to Zoo's gameplay.
Two words: Clutchmother Zavas
He just pointed it out.
Nether Portal
This card can compete with Jaraxxus in the late game. 6/4 stats spread across 2 bodies is pretty much the same thing as a 6/6 for 2 mana every turn. You don't get the extra weapon but that's compensated by keeping your hero power and health. The issue here is, will zoo actually need an infinite value card like Jaraxxus, or does this ruin the consistancy or tempo for having to keep and play this card during the first few turns.
Elise the Trailblazer pack and one card is all Deathwing needs for this quest. I'll try one big discard over multiple instances of discarding. Add in one or two Malchezars imps on a discount in wild for draw. Could make for some epic swing turns.
Can you discard Lakkari Sacrifice?
It's a card like any other and if you choose not to play it then yes, it can be discarded. After you play it however, it's in play, therefore it is no longer in your hand to discard.
What will happen if you try to taunt or silence (something like that) the Nether Portal ?
You cant. It is just like the portals in the Netherspite fight (in Kharazan)
