It's interesting most of the time I agree, but you can get a really unlucky draw from her. It still is a must kill target for your opponent because otherwise they will lose.
Aviana > KT > Innervate > Loatheb > Sneed's/Rag/Ancient of War
Twisting Nether Kappa
I'm not that familiar with the technicalities of the Pint Sized Summoner, but I'd imagine the first one is free. It's a matter of which effect is applied first, and the Pint Sized Summoner (I would think) is applied at the beginning of the turn - after you play Aviana.
Playing Aviana, then Emperor Thaurissan gives you a hand full of free cards, but playing Thaurissan first gives you a hand that costs 1 until Aviana dies.
Hidden wisp nerf.
Made my day
SHIT I LOVE WISP
There is not enough hype about KT and Aviana, KT has to be removed first and is out of bgh range, They need to have hard removal (polymorph, hex etc.) and then enough burst to deal with Aviana which requires a lucky hand. I don't like using "If's" to evaluate cards but playing those two on a not so crowded board is an instant win unless the opponent has perfect answers. the tempo lost can also be made up for with tree of life. you can now tree of life and play a big minion the next turn or just kill your opponent. It could be very strong but you cannot say it's going to suck because the potential is there, especially in druid.
Twisting nether/dark bargain basically seems like the perfect counter to this. Dark bargain only if you have minions on your side and kill off any smaller minions your opponent has otherwise twisting nether to clear his 2 to 6 average to strong minions.
To be honest this makes brawl and poison seeds stronger, as well as equality consecrate. Any hard AOE I feel will be slightly stronger if Aviana sees any use.
can't play my ramp wisp target dummy deck anymore now, thanks blizzard :(((
This card will make people sit with 7+mana minions in their hand waiting for it to draw, easy win for an aggro deck
Insane Thaurissan combo - the longer Thaurissan stays, the more cards you can play when you do drop him.
Although, how does Thaurissan work with Aviana? Does every minion become 0 mana, or still remain 1?
It's... weird. If you play Thaurissan then Aviana, your minions cost 1. If you play Aviana then Thaurissan, your minions cost 0 while Aviana is alive. Source
It's not weird at all. Lets say you have Ironbark Protector in hand (8 mana cost)
Case Thaurissan then Aviana
Thaurissan will reduce the cost of the minion by 1 each turn resulting in a 7mana cost Ironbark Protector, when Avianna is played and Ancient Protector costs 1
Case Aviana then Thaurissan
Aviana will reduce Ironbark Protector's cost to 1 and then Taurissan will reduce it by 1 so it will end up to 0.
Thanks, now I know what deck I really want to make
It says "Your minions cost (1)." not "Reduce your minions cost to (1)"
The difference it's big and pretty clear.
if you have a Wisp [0 cost] and an Annoy-o-tron [2 cost] then after Aviana has been played.
- Wisp will cost 1 (+1 mana)
- Annoy-o-tron will cost 1 (-1 mana)
That's not true.
Noone noticed the difference in the question and the reply? The answer is distorted due to the person who replied didn't read the question correctly.
QL Minons that has been reduced by Emperor Thaurissan - Will Aviana make them cost 0?
A: Yes. Emperor T will make Aviana reduced minions cost zero. If Aviana is removed, their costs revert to Emperor T costs.
Things are simple Aviana will make all the minions cost 1, does not reduce or increase the cost, she will make the cost equal to 1, so if you have a 0 cost minion it will now cost 1 and if you have a 2 cost minion it will now cost 1
Emp T will reduce Aviana's affected minions to 0 because 1-1 = 0
What's the confusion is about?
I have this card and just finished playing a game with this scenario.
I played Thaurissan first. Aviana reduced by 1 mana. Then I played Aviana and then the cards in my hand dropped in cost to 1 mana.
Then Thaurissan's effect took place and the cards in my hand then reduced to zero mana.
Then Aviana got killed and the cards in my hand reverted to their original cost minus the Thaurissan discounts.
We've seen some good legendaries but I think she's the winner.
