This is a reasonable downgrade from Entomb, and funny.
I've been playing an aggro-tuned Dragon Priest that trades removal for more proactive cards and uses Mind Blast for reach. Shame that the key cards for Dragon Priest are going away this expansion, because it'd be fun to troll the crap out of players of Curious Glimmerroot with that deck.
"Is my opponent playing Mind Vision, Shadow Word: Pain, or Mind Blast? Shadow Word: Pain, obviously -- wait, what?"
This is the most random card effect they could think of lol XD
did anyone consider it could works this way :
"Show 3 cards from your oponnent deck, guess witch card start in the deck after muligan"
could be cool to know from the guessing that the 2 others cards started in your opponent hand. :P
In tournaments with decklist submission (like HCT) this is simply a 3/3 draw a random card from your opponent's deck. I believe you are even allowed to bring notes into the games too (in some tournaments at least), so you don't even need to remember anything.
Not necessarily, it can show 2 cards from opponents hand and one from the deck, so guessing which one is from the deck might be challenging if that happens...
Well then, maybe it will be banned in a lot of tournaments. (at least unofficial ones)
Waiting to see that former Pirate Warrior player that plays two of this in his priest deck and gets the card wrong every single time
Come on, no one is that oblivious - give the common player a chance - everyone plays basically the same deck archetypes anyway. Maybe right after the release it will only be pure random guess, but I think it'll be pretty easy to draw the right conclusions.
Unless they're up against pirate warrior.
I largely agree, but the piece I think you might have missed in your analysis is guessing the right card is not the only consideration. You also have to consider whether or not the card will be useful. For Malygos, Jade Idol, Raptor you might choose Malygos even though it might have a lower probability of being correct because Malygos is probably a lot more useful to you than idol. 10% chance on a good card may be better than 90% on a useless one.
The odds are even better then you say. Only class cards are shown.
Just disappointed in this one... now my Wisp loses its element of surprise AND your opponent gets a copy of MY WISP
Wow amazingly unique card. This actually might be interesting to play with and against. I think it'll be too easy to guess though since most of the meta decks don't variate it'll be quite simple to choose the right choice. In arena however much different story as your opponent could literally be playing anything and you would want this as a lategame draw when you've seen the rest of your opponents deck other than that pretty cool card!
"Guess what I have!"
"IDK, what?"
"Nuh uh, you have to guess!"
:(
It would be really interesting to change the text to "Look at 3 cards. Guess which one is still in your opponent's deck." This would imply that the other two are in the opponent's hand. You're less likely to draw a card, but gain very valuable information! Might be too OP though...
The information you get by choosing the wrong one is not worth not getting a card. But that change would improve the skill ceiling of the card, as you'd have to keep track of your opponent's hand to get rewarded.
