This week's brawl is The Power of Magic!
Rules:
The Dark Flight are out to capture the magic of Azeroth. Discover the magic within to defeat the forces of evil!
This is a PvE brawl where you play against a computer opponent. You choose from 4 Heroes and get faced with an "Evil" enemy. The decks seem to be premade and not just randomly generated, meaning you should know what you can expect after some plays. The special factor that will help you defeat your enemy (who has some tricks up their sleeve, including starting at higher mana) is a load of Cast When Drawn spells that will allow you to discover a spell, which will get added to your hand with zero mana cost for the spell. This alone should help enough, but there's more tricks in your deck! We won't spoil everything, so play and find out!
Rewards:
A Standard Card Pack for winning the Brawl once.
If you manage to win first try for your pack it's a fine enough Brawl but otherwise it's just glaringly obvious that there's zero balance here.
Designing a Brawl to advertise skins to players with that high of a chance of frustration is baffling to me. You'd think they'd rather make it a fun little story or puzzle thing but nooo... it's a RGN shitfest heavily stacked against the player.
I won on second try, tried it with priest, definitely not the best brawl but I guess i got my pack and im happy
video of my games with priest:
PLEASE DEVS, STOP THESE SHIT TAVERN EVENTS. GIVE BACK THE SIMPLE GOOD AND OLD EVENTS LIKE MIRROR DECKS, RANDOM CARDS, SUMMON MINIONS WHEN CASTING SPELLS.
NOBODY CARES ABOUT SHIT MADOKA MAGIKA EVENT. THERE'S NO CHILDREN PLAYING THIS GAME, OR LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PLAYERS.
WHY IMITATE SUCH A TRASH THEME IN A GAME WITH SO MANY THEMES TO BE EXPLORED? wHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE COMPANY?
I REALLY TOUGHT MICROSOFT WOULD DO SOMETHING TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES, BUT THEY KEEP BEING WORSE EVERY ATT
F**RNG SAILOR MOON THEME! 2022 AND WE ARE HAVING SAILOR MOON THEME!!!!!! FOCK!!!
I actually disagree. I can't tell you how much I loathe the team up and kill the boss on the board brawls. Because not only do you have to draw well and know what your doing, your opponent has to know what to do, draw well, and try not to accidentally kill you or your minions.
This I can stomach because at least if something goes sideways, I know its just my fault and two people didn't waste their time.
Priest + highroll is needed afaict. There's a lot of stupid shit in the AI, like getting 2x 8/5 on turn 2. Just no way to deal with that. One game I died on turn 7 to a 14-point pyroblast to the face. F**k that noise.
Eventually won with priest and a double-legendary combo on turns 4+5.
Terrible brawl. Lost back to back 7 times (3 on paladin, 3 on warlock, 1 on priest), never had a chance in any of them. If you don't draw the absolute nuts immediately you die. Got it on Priest on my second try and even that was by the skin of my teeth (1 hp left at one point).
Could have been an ok new brawl I guess, but it is tuned too high probably due to lack of testing.
Nice
Agreed
Wow...what an idiot
Agreed
Well that was way too easy. Pretty easy with every deck aside from Paladin, first or second tried it with the rest.
Gotta be clear, the dialogs are as cringy as you can get...
but hey, it's a new brawl, we don't get much of those lately.
And it's somewhat fun.
what an unf*ckingbelievalbe shitty rng fieste brawl
This is the worst brawl i've ever seen
get lucky or lose on spot, very interesting
Seems easy enough for me :D

What is the problem ppl? You don't fight a stupid AI any more? This is a problem in 2022?
I choose Priest and won first try without having any difficulties at all.
Brute force brawl again. Very interesting.
This brawl is beyond stupid. wth were they thinking?
such a fkin piece of shit brawl i never seen such before
How can they call this “power of magic” and not have shaman as one of the classes?! I’ll admit I had a quest for playing rogue or shaman games 3 times but still it makes no sense that paladin is one of the classes instead of shaman which makes way more sense.
