Uhm,those tech options are not a sure thing to hit those cards....you want a card that specificaly targets a quest and destroyes it?thats 2 very extremly different cenarions
What are you talking about?nothing is a 100% counter to shudder or mechatun or holy wrath, why do you want a 100% counter to the quest?whwy do you think only quest needs to have a 100% perfect counter?
What are YOU talking about? Please tell me how this isn't a 100% counter?
Mutanus hits Shudderwock - they concede immediately.
Mutanus hits Mechathun - they concede immediately.
Mutanus hits Toggwaggle - they concede immediately.
Dirty Rat against any single legendary minion combo deck. Counterspell. Forcing Opponent to discard combo pieces. Platebreaker against Linecracker Druid. Devolving a boar they needed to res meaning they will never be able to kill seven. All things that 100% counter a deck built around one win condition. No one thinks any of the above are "unfair" - yet quests magically get a pass for no reason. I simply don't get it.
even if locations are good, this is too expensive to tech in.
I guess this is their panic button if locatiions end up being too broken, but I can't really see the value on it.
Another epic tech card that will never ever see play in a thousand years even if locations are good.
They seriously need to stop printing tech cards that cost over 2 mana.
this is not fun create a mechanic and then a card that destroys that mechanic
Relax. Tech cards exist as a check and balance in case the new mechanic ends up becoming a problem. When Mechs came back in Boomsday they added EMP Operative as a hard counter, but did she render the new mechanics worthless? No, of course she didn’t
Especially since the card is Eoic rarity not many people will use Renovator. Locations will be fine
tell that to quest
At least half of the Locations are playing for perspective and future value, now they aren't...
We need a card like this for quest
There's a reason your idea hasn't been made in the 5 years Quests have been around, because it's a bad idea.
But "add another step to a player's quest", might be f dope!
No way that can work, decks are completly built around the quest, destroying that would be totaly unfair, maybe you mean some kind of distruption?delay?
There are dozens of decks completely built around a specific card or gimmick. Shudderwock. Mechathun. Holy Wrath. Linecracker. The list goes on and on. There are specific counters that directly target all of them and are "totally unfair" to the person who wanted to play them. They even added a counter for ARMOR.
Except quests. Why are quests magically the only thing in the game that is not allowed to be countered.
Because most of the cards you just listed are minions. Hand disruption like Dirty Rat or Mutanus isn't guaranteed to ruin their win condition, otherwise they would be bad decks. Quests on the other hand, are always played and a card that destroys a quest 100% of the time is an atrocious idea because it's quite literally a free win.
I'm assuming you're going this hard for quest counters because of Time Warp Mage, which if you disrupt both of their parrots, they literally lose if they can't kill you in 1-2 extra turns. Any card that single handedly makes you win nearly 100% of the time vs a large amount of decks is a terribly designed card. There's no card in the game that directly counters the decks you listed 100% of the time like a Quest counter would.
Platebreaker is a free win against Linecracker Druid and useless against every other matchup. Same with things that destroy secrets - basically useless against most matchups and a free win against freeze mage. Same with weapon destruction, or a card that only destroys beasts, and so on and so on.
There absolutely should be a card in the game that 100% counters quests and is useless in other matchups, just like most tech cards in this game. And no, it's not because of Time Warp mage or any specific quest.
I guess it's good they added anti-location tech into the game. Now how about anti-quest tech?
I'm glad nobody on the dev team thinks like you.
Going by the last few expansions they aren't thinking much at all.
