What about the paladin hero weapon?
What does someone's English proficiency have to do with anything? For all you know they they speak 3 other languages and only started learning English recently.
I mean, Phoesias is obviously wrong when it comes to the mechanics of this card, but his level of knowledge of English has absolutely nothing to do with it, so why even bring it up?
Ah, so it's Serenade from Dead Cells, got it
This type of mechanic bounce as weapon and act as a minion with rush gonna always be a good card
If you gave it charge would that just be an otk?
Wait nvm one attack per hero
Your hero can't attack more than once even if you re-equip a weapon, but it would be lots of face damage, yes.
If your hero would have WINDFURY for 20 dmg or MEGAWINDFURY for 36 dmg (couldn't kill Renathal deck anyway at 37+ hp), then yes in some cases yes. Probably would be too weak anyway because of secrets, taunts or missing combo pieces.
I don't think you would need an otk if you can deal 12 damage per turn and have the minion be protected inside your weapon
It just seems like a worse Gorehowl Since it always swaps. In most cases it will be a rush atk then keep weapon for a turn to atk and rush atk with the minion again but even then its about 12-16 dmg in 2 turns . Gorehowl on the other hand can do 13 in 2 and can still have durability . even if it can atk 3 times the first turn for 12 dmg , for 7 mana it just isn't enough (control has better options)
Seeing how the minion form can attack again when it returns to the battlefield this is 12 damage the turn it comes into play on up to three different targets compared to Gorehowl 7 damage on one target only. Next turn it's potentially 8 more when Gorehowl would only be 6. Sure Gorehowl is better to get rid of bigger targets but you have better spot removal anyway, this can also hit face more profitably than Gorehowl.
For this to deal 20 dmg ,youd need 2 durability+1hp and trade twice with 7 hp after turn 7 or more.... with 7 hp ?? what are you hitting 3 atk minions (1/2 drops) ? You also can't use it in an aggresive deck since a 7 mana card would be your finisher, and this isn't that. So it falls out of almost all decks, does it go into a handbuff/weaponbuff deck were it can turn into something OP (core card)?? Not rly , can't see enough support to build a deck around this
Not the most consistent card, but Gorehowl still doesn't feel like the best comparison to me. Also, even if you just attack three targets and then break it (which is reasonable, with 10 Health that means the first target should have 8 Attack at most) it's still 12 damage in 1 turn compared to the 13 Gorehowl would deal in 2 turns. Sure it's not 12 face damage so it's not an aggro finisher and I'm not sure what deck would want this, but it's not a bad card at all.
Perfect for Spirit of the Rhino
Cool design for sure but pretty eh in terms of power. I was under the impression it'd reset to a 4/10 whenever it swaps modes but since it keeps durability/health per swap, most times it won't be around for more than a turn. Just feels like a 4 attack fools bane that saves you a little health, except it's 7 mana.
It wouldn’t work
If you give the minion wind furry it should keep it as a weapon. You would probably rather save the card as a weapon instead of swinging twice thou.
The first time you swing it as a weapon it turns back into a minion, so I'm not sure windfury helps at all.
Amount of people who say its Trash & don't look for its true potential (buffs in hand or while on board) is TOO DAMN HIGH!
I thought of something similar years ago making my own set. Damn. Should have posted it. Now I can't take credit :P
Feels like an awful lot of gimmick to ultimately deal 4 damage, 3 times. I'm not imagining you get a second turn with it very often.
Lokholar the Ice Lord does a very similar job but punches a lot harder
