Radar Detector truly show cases how insane it is if you have plenty of mechs or knowing that you have placed them there prior to playing it. This card on the other hand is good, you draw on demand or else place the card on top of your deck to draw next, whilst Radar Detector can whiff for nothing, idk I feel like this is much more consistent.
Ridiculously good.
I remember OG mech mage as the easiest deck to build and play ever. It also seem like nobody misses the archetype and are more concerned that mage will neither have a good mech nor naga package to play board based.
The thing that annoys me the most about this expansion is that the tribe choices feel wrong, even thou they already existed (MurLOCK and mech mage). Let's hope that the two classes will have a fun aggro/mid range tribe based deck going, instead of all the direct damage BS. I just thought that these two classes would need the most consistent new synergies and not the least...
Guys remember that THIS is the FIRST xpac of the year... Everything can become meta as time goes on.
Yes, every expansion is meant to have an impact on the meta. Preferably, already when they are released.
Btw Sorry for sounding snarky, but your point (unless I'm missing something) is pretty irrelevant to my statement. If a synergy stinks it's irrelevant to the game. If an expansion is to change the game, it has to be relevant. Mage hasn't had a relevant board based strategy for over a year, but several shitty ones. We are not talking 1 meme card. We are talking about 2/10 classes. 20% of the game!
I like the idea of MechaMage, I hope it gets some cool additions over the year. This expansion does seem to be focusing on minions controlling the board, which obviously favours efficient cheap minions like this one.
mech or naga, who will prevail?
So is their strategy for promoting their Primary Mage Archetype to create a lackluster secondary one?
I still lack a motivation to play mech mage, a wincon. It's not enough to play a card that puts a mech in the bottom that adds random mechs in your hand. Not even a colossus that does ONE damage for any robot attacking. Also, being mage means that you can't buff them. I see this archetype a complete failure, with more supports being added in the final exp of the next year, as Blizzard likes to do.
The downfall of hearthstone is going to be people who need every archetype to have a one card win condition. Set your opponents health to zero. That's your win condition.
So that's the ninth mage card for this set.
If I cared about mech mage, I'd probably think this was really good. But as is... eh. There is still a lot of cards missing. Is the final set reveal on April 5th alongside the core set reveal or are we getting a full reveal today?
Final card dump + core set coming April 5th
That's... so silly. Why are they waiting a whole week for that.
Sightless Watcher, but a lot better..
Sightless watcher is Tuskarrrr Trawler
This card is tuskarrrr trawler but better
Not really. Bottom of your deck are cards that you would not otherwise draw in 99% of the games. So you get info what cards you cant play this round (because you dont get them) and one of them you get. If you have 2 flame strikes at the bottom for example you know that you will not draw any if you dont dredge them. There are also cards that put cards at the bottom because they are so powerful so no. The watcher is worse.
It's amazing how all of you said the same thing but still disagree with each other 😆
functionally they're basically identical since you don't control the order of your deck unless you specifically have cards that put themselves on the bottom of your deck
No because you know what you will NOT draw in this game. Watcher dont give you any kind of information WHERE the cards are. Thats the difference.
