Best art of the expansion?))
What Shaman deck will want to run this, I am wondering? As soon as there is a critical mass of from-hand removal in enough decks on ladder, this will not see play and I think there will be enough of those to make playing this feel extremely bad.
Most "from hand removal" doesn't deal 5 damage AOE, and it's very easy to trade a minion you've had survive from the previous turn after playing this to give it a nice 3 or 5 or however many extra health points, and then it really doesn't die to any damage based removal.
This is a lot of stats on a single card that doesn't require any other plays or specific cards to make work, if we're truly in a "minion-combat meta" as Blizzard has implied, I imagine this will see play in any board-based Shaman deck. Even if your opponent does have the perfect removal for it, you just traded your one card for one of theirs, that's really not a terrible deal.
This
Not that strong.. just ok
Weak af. Even if this is a rare card I will not be suprised
If the enemy doesn't have a way to kill Glugg the Gulper before killing Glugg's Tails, it makes this a 15/17. For 7 mana.
You think a potential 7 mana 15/17 is "weak af"?
Granted, when you're against a control deck with plenty of hard removal, they will often be able to kill your Glugg before his tails die, but even then it'll often take mutliple spells to kill all parts of this minion, or take their premium removal to do so. But when you're against a tempo, minion based deck? They'll have to waste their turn trading into your taunts and your Glugg will have a feast. And there's never been a shortage of agro/tempo decks in hearthstone.
And that's not even mentioning that Glugg gains stats from all your other minions that die too. If you play him on a turn when you have a decent board presence, you can just trade your minions in and end up with a 25 attack minion fairly easily.
At the end of the day, how good Glugg is depends entirely on what kind of meta we have, but just describing it as "weak af" is incredibly short-sighted.
I think it’s a good finisher, could easily stick 10/10 worth of stats if it’s a board based meta, wouldn’t be surprised if this does well with freeze shaman and maybe brings Battleground Battlemaster to shaman.
Wronchi Animation really knows how to make a card look overpowered whether or not it actually is.
This is scary monkaW
I think the real value only comes out if you have minions on board to trade in the turn you play this. Otherwise, it won't do too much.
For me its meh. No game breaking mechanic here
Reminds me of Gobbleguts from Super Mario Galaxy 2.
love the animation and windfury love
His name is GLUGG. 10/10
As a Shaman enthusiast, I am not too impressed. This doesn't have Shaman "flavour" in it and I can't see where it fits. Slightly disappointed.
Well it could be viewed as a solid finisher for a midrange deck. The issue is that you need other decks to be board based and to trade into your stuff to make this worth it as a real threat.
So again we arrive at the point where this card's power relies on how well Blizzard succeeds in getting the game back to more board fighting.
We will have to see.
It looks more like a warlock minion, as it benefits from your minions dying.
Priest just get cool design too...
