Quote from Blizzard“Well, look who it is!”
Some new faces have just shown up at the inn! Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft is happy to welcome new Heroes as they pull up a chair at the game table!
These new Heroes put a fresh face on the classes you know and love, and bring along some unique surprises of their own.
Picture Perfect
These new Hearthstone Heroes will feature beautifully detailed animated Hero portraits, including all-new art never before seen in the Blizzard universe. The first new Hero we’re introducing is a famed Warrior—the mighty King of Ironforge himself, Magni Bronzebeard!
Aside from the vibrant new Hero portrait artwork, these new Heroes also come with unique Hero power animations. Magni’s version of the Warrior’s “Armor Up!” Hero Power is sure to reinforce the fact that his majesty is not to be trifled with!
New Heroes also come with unique emotes and voices that convey their individual personalities, a play area featuring a custom visual theme, and nifty “entering the game” animations so you can greet (or intimidate) your next opponent in style.
If that wasn’t enough, new Heroes also come with a unique card back that will impress even the mightiest of dwarven kings! The steadfast “Magni” card back is added to your collection immediately after purchasing the Magni Bronzebeard Hero, and can be used with any deck of your choice.
New Heroes will be available for purchase from the in-game Shop for $9.99 USD! Usurp the traitorous Garrosh Hellscream and bring down the hammers of dwarven justice with Magni Bronzebeard; the first new Warrior Hero for Hearthstone—coming soon!
New Heroes do not add new cards to your collection or change the classes’ activated Hero Power and are not considered new classes.
Really? $10 for 9 sets of fully animated, fully voice acted Heroes? That's laughably cheap. Seriously, nothing cosmetic has ever been that cheap in any game.
While I wish it was cheaper than $10 each, it doesn't make any sense business-wise to make them any cheaper than that, as at $10 anyone who was going to buy all of them will still buy all of them, and anyone who wasn't still wouldn't even at half that price.
I don't mean to offend you or anything, but if you think $10 is a feasible price for all of them then you should check the prices people have to pay for things in other games.
Proof?
Typically, if it is cheeper, more people could afford it and so more people will be willing to buy it. But yes, cosmetic changes are always expensive.
Or a new achievement mode, or a new game mode, or at least three more deck slots
This is great! At least I don't have to stare at the same faces every time. Can't wait to see who the Warlock hero is!
As quite a few ppl already mentioned: calm your tits. It's a free to play game, those new heroes are "optional" and won't give you an advantage. If you want them -> pay, if you don't -> just keep playing.
While I fully agree with that, I do wish there was an option to purchase with gold. I have a ton of it saved up and nothing to spend it on, unless I want a fully gold collection but that would be a waste. I only bling out the cards that see constructed play
Yep, paying with Gold could be an option definitively :) But even without, it's ok for me.
I find it hard to believe the Innkeeper didn't recognize Magni Bronzebeard when he stepped in his inn !
Garrosh it's better next...
skins.. hyped for nothing.. I thought there would be new content..
WOOOOW! Blizzard strongly disappointed me. However, what else possible we can expect from them still?
An Expansion? He-he! *** you!
With all the resources they spent on this useless addition they could have spent time doing something everyone has been asking for for 2 years, which are additional deck slots. Or something more recent, like a brand new class
Will he use axes or is only Illustration changed without replacing current card power?
Unfortunately it's only illustration. Nothing else, no new power no new cards!
Well....9.99 is a bit to much...Will wait for priest (my main and only character on ladder) and see.
Sweet! A little sad that they're money-only purchases, but it was to be expected. Can't wait to see who else appears!
And Google them so I know who they are.skazhem druzhno - nahui nuzhno!
Wait.. So is it 10$ for 9 heroes or 90$? Because that does make a difference. 10$ is not that bad of a price for a bundle of cosmetics, but knowing Blizzard (skins in HotS cost around 10$ each) it may actually be 10$ for each hero skin.
9.99 per hero and card back
so for all 9 heroes and 9 card backs it will be 89.91
However, I would have to think they would do a package deal.
I do not know why but I NEED THESE NEW HEROS.
Crafty Blizzard.
