Synergy with cards like Evocation
I really really hope Shadowstep is removed from the core set. Because otherwise this can be exploited as a better Secret Passage if it's combined with mana cost reductions.
Fun card though.
One: you need to get Shadowstep from the swap. Two: if used more than once you will get your original hand unlike SP that will give you a new one.
Nice card. I expect a lot of decks would use it for a chance to prevent a bad early hand. Control or combo could use this to try and fetch cards they need. The 1/3 body is nice too.
This will work kind of like a pseudo-secret passage. Where you can look for lethal or answers. That's really the worst case scenario with this card (besides using it as a tempo 1 drop). I'm really bummed it doesn't draw the cards. That makes it a lot worse than it could be. But if submerge is a good mechanic, pulling all your submerged cards is gonna be good.
Can't wait to play this in my questline DH.
Unfortunately it won't count. "Swap" is not draw.
It'll be interesting to see how this works out. On the one hand, gaining a new hand can be really potent. On the other, you know that it'll take a really long time to gain back the cards that used to be in your hand. In a lot of decks, this will be "Put your combo piece on the bottom of your deck." and that could be awful. In other decks, it's just really efficient cycle. We'll see.
Really clever and interesting card.
Also serves as an in-game mulligan if your hand is filled with useless shit.
this is good depending on how many cards are in your hand, control decks probably will run this
I’ll put Finley in every deck because I have a freaking bad luck, or not because either Finley won’t appear when my hand is trash or will appear when I have only one card
Quest warlock in wild got their 3rd Plot Twist
Your better off just going mechathun warlock since it's very easy to get mechathun off by turn 8 nowadays.
Pretty sure this isn't drawn - this uses the same wording as Secret Passage and Parrrley ("Swap it back", and "swap with X") and that explicitly does not count as drawing cards for the purpose of card interaction.
much better than plot twist because you dont risk getting the same cards from it
Ehhhhh... it's comparable, but it's hard to judge better or worse.
Pros: No risk of getting the same cards back, 1/3 body attached, 1 mana cheaper, can be exploited to mitigate fatigue
Cons: doesn't guarantee the same number of cards at the end, doesn't actually draw cards (mythril scepter, warlock uldum quest)
Solid and interesting card to find answers with a really crappy hand. Otherwise its a dead card that will only be played in a desperate situation. Would I put it in MY deck? No. But others will surely. Interesting card.
There are going to be cards in this set that manipulate what cards are on the bottom of your deck.
Solid point. So its kind of a combo Piece. The cards that are put at the end we already know are value oriented. So for control decks that way that value.
I think you will swap your entire hand with the 3 cards, the text says Swap your hand.
This can be an arguably better Secret Passage for all classes
You should read better. This is very different from Secret Passage
If you have one card in hand Finley draw 1, secret passage draws 4.
As someone linked, it is more Plot Twist than Secret Passage
