can potentially board clear with 3 mana using this and cloth, assuming that you have a minion and opponent’s minions have 2 health
seems way too situational, and the best case is clear tokens, but again, you want a minion in your board, otherwise you’ll clear all opponent’s tokens but one that will have increased health
Ultra premium card and well made these are the type of cards Hearthstone needs. Ones that actually require some degree of skill and thought.
Wow, I've been waiting for any priest card and this meme card is supposed to help the worst class in the game? What is this shit, how is this supposed to get me excited to play my favorite class? So disappointing as usual.
This is 1 mana deal 1 damage to all enemies and buff your one.. not meme at all.
Also I expect it to work with spell damage so it will be crazy with Bloodmage Thalnos.
It also does not trigger damage effects like frenzy
It doesn’t talk about *dealing* damage so no it’s doesn’t work with spell damage. 99.99% confident.
The "steal" word is always a bit confusing. Most probably they used it just to not make the text too complicated, it could of been "Deal 1 damage to all minions. Choose a minion, that minion will get 1 HP for each damage dealt" -> way more complicated. So there is a chance that "steal" is just a "deal" in disguise and, if that's the case, it will be affected by spell damage.
when you steal health you cannot heal that health stolen, thats the diff, so is not increased by spell dmg
Hi. I am also a priest player (6k win), but I think differently from you about the card.
First of all it is true that the class is the worst, but the nerfs together with the new cards have changed a lot the meta, at least until Diamond, making some control variants viable, as an example i have seen some list "nzoth", "ress", control (with more or less the same cards as core). Playing a self-made list myself, I have a score of 16-5.
Many of the announced cards tend to be even slower.
If they don't work right away I expect a wave of nerfs, at which point priest enjoys.
Specifically, the card doesn't seem to auto-include or create an archetype around it; however, it has a lot of potential and some limitations. All in all it looks good, in some situations very strong (on setek), in others very good (to close a removal with Aoe at 2 damage), in others (many) useless (like any other aoe).
I like the card though because it is a card that allows interesting, since the card will surely see play from discover so for me it is a promoted card.
Of course the card doesn't seem to shift the balance, but time to time.
Deal 1 damage is a different effect.
Well, you're wrong. Why would this scale with spell damage? It's not damage.
I seriously can't think of any card that is affected by spell damage without either the wording "deal damage" or a specific line like "affected by spell damage". If you were right it would be "Choose a minion and deal 1 damage to all other minions. The chosen minion gains that much health", which is longer, but not the longest wording for a spell I've ever seen.
Finally, a Priest card reveal! Eureka! We have seen a lot anti-token cards this expansion.
I think it's a damn good card. 1 mana deal 1 damage to whole board and buff your minion. I won't underestimate this card
It's trash. Requires a minion on board and deal 1 damage isn't helpful at all. It will never kill anything and it doesn't reduce the damage on board. It's bad.
A lot of people are forgetting that cards like this one are great discovery options , especially in a deck like rally priest , where cheap cards are extremely beneficial . Having said that , i am setting my expectations high for the rest of the priest set , cuz the class desperately needs some strong cards to get back into the mix .
Shadow Word: Devour + Crazed Alchemist will be the new Inner Fire
Eh. That's +7 attack at most. Don't get me wrong, might be handy as a bit of extra burst, but nothing like DS/IF, and probably not nearly strong enough to support an archetype.
The core thing to remember was that Inner Fire was never really the problem--it always could be replaced by Crazed Alchemist or Topsy Turvey or whatever. Divine Spirit was the nasty part, with that word "double". Anything cheap with "double" has potential to get out-of-hand very fast.
Priest will get something good.
May be next exp, lul.
