Board clear + board presence, great Hero power. Really does it all for 7 mana.
Oh boy... Rogue in wild getting somehow hand on that Mage Dragon that allows infinite refresh of Hero power, combined with this heropower, is nuts.
That bad boy is in Standard again too. That's some hilariously nutty combos.
Remember when they HoF'd vanish cause rogue wasn't supposed to have a board clear like that?
Well, here's vanish, but for 1 more mana you gain 5 armor, play 6 mana worth of stats (That are likely going face next turn), then cheat an additional 2 mana each turn.
More like cheating 4 mana each turn: 2-mana hero power cost and 2-mana for the next card played
Yeah but this is a one off legendary card. And it costing one extra mana on a card you can't discount with prep makes a huge difference.
Just like saying they don't want Charge to exist in Standard and then they release Mr. Smite...
They literally never said they don't want charge to exist in standard. They just took out all the cheap/efficient charge cards.
No, they definitely said Charge was an uninteractive effect in the past, which was why they changed their effect to Rush, and HoF'd the iconic cards they didn't want to be effected.
Though, I think they kind of just threw out class identity. Some identities are stronger than others. Only way to combat that is by giving those tools, to other classes in just 1 card.
They said it was uninteractive so they HOFed Leeroy. Nothing about not wanting charge at all. They literally added a charge card to the core set immediately after that.
At least you can't prep it out for 3-mana and run two in a deck. :P
Don't get me wrong, it's really strong (Bliz has been MAAAD powercreeping these last two years). But there is a difference between legendary and non-legendary board clears in terms of consistency.
Oh damn!!
My man Scabbs looking mighty fine in that red hood, I gotta say.
But that effect is really strong. We are talking about control now, for sure. And his hero power becomes Preparation for any other card??
Wooooow!
Preparation every turn is kind of busted
But there are more busted cards
So far, the hero cards are all very powerful. And they are all late game centered which is great too. Hopefully the quest don't continue to dominate.
The thing is, I think this card works in pretty much every kind of deck. For aggro it sets up a finisher and can reapply pressure if your opponent has stabilized by removing their board. In combo it helps keep you alive vs aggro by wiping their board, gaining health, and then getting mana discounts to do your combo early. And it's effective as control (if that were to ever work)
Which means the card is probably broken.
Amazing!!
