20.0.1 Server Bug Fix Patch - No More Spell Power Totem, Ysera Can't Damage Herself & More
Blizzard just published an article informing us about a patch that will address a lot of bugs that were introduced with patch 20.0 - next Monday.

- Removed Pen Flinger from designer buckets in Duels.
- Removed Cannibalism Passive Treasure from Duels.
- Fixed a bug where Silverleaf Poison could cause attacking with Kingsbane to draw two cards instead of one.
- Fixed a bug where Power Word: Fortitude could only be used on friendly minions.
- Fixed a bug where Vanessa VanCleef would give the post-transformation version of a minion, such as the Kodo version of Druid of the Plains.
- Fixed a bug where Vectus would not summon Whelps unless a friendly Deathrattle minion had been destroyed earlier in the game.
- Fixed a bug where Kurtrus Ashfallen would only attack one time if the opponent only had one minion.
- Fixed a bug where Sparkjoy Cheat could cast two secrets from your hand.
- Fixed a bug where playing Grave Rune on an enemy minion and destroying it would summon two copies of the minion on your side of the board. Doing this will now summon two copies on the opponent’s side of the board.
- Fixed a bug where Windshear Stormcaller would not summon Al’Akir the Windlord if you had all 4 basic Totems in play.
- Fixed a bug where Totemic Call could still give the Wrath of Air Totem when playing with certain Shaman Hero Skins.
- Fixed a bug where Ysera could take damage from the Dream Card Ysera Awakens.
- Fixed a bug where South Coast Chieftain’s Battlecry could trigger if your opponent had a Murloc and you didn’t.
- Fixed a bug where Olgra, Mankrik’s Wife did not have a mana cost and would not work as intended when cast from hand.
- Fixed a bug where Scorch was dealing 1 less damage than intended.
- Fixed a bug where the Dream card, Dream, could not be cast on friendly minions in Classic.
- Fixed a bug where Pack Kodo would only offer Hunter Secrets and Weapons regardless of which class played the card.
We’re working on more bug fixes beyond this that we’re hoping to get out the door soon! Separately, we’d like to share that we’ll have several additional updates for Duels in our next client patch.

Because the Spell damage totem was either useless or broken, the new one is a solid middleground
Shaman hero power is not the best in quality yeah. But the totem hero power was too good like literally outvalue other any other hero power because its a Hero power that upgrade the impact of other cards. It was really unbalance and the only reaso why Shaman hero power is not consider good its because you cant get the spellpower totem 100% of the times.
yeah dude shaman is such a fucking problem in every game mode, need to nerf it asap!
Rolling a taunt totem has been just as game deciding over the years. Are they gonna get rid of that too?
A 0/2 with taunt is way less impactful. +1 spell damage scales insanely well with AoE spells (up to +7 damage on a spell against a full board), and can be the difference between clearing a board and swinging the game or losing the game. All a 0/2 taunt can do is prevent damage from one source.
An 0/2 taunt is very often the difference between dying this turn or dying next turn. It's been more impactful over the years in my experience than a spell damage totem that needs damage spells to even get any bonus.
If Oil Rig Ambusher is drawn into your hand by Dirty Tricks, it will still have the "deal 4 damage if this entered your hand this turn" effect.
Spunds like working as intended. The secret is triggered in your opponents turn, so the 4 dmg are corecct.
But your opponent's turn is not "this turn"
There is another bug on Grave runes. If you give deathrattle to a non deathrattle minion (let's assume you cast it on leeroy) you can no longer copy it with shadowy figure. I don't know if this is intended but this really kills leeroy otk priest
I imagine that after you typed that out and hit enter, you leaned back in your fine leather chair with a slight grin on your face, tied the sash on your velvet robe, then puffed your cigar while swirling your snifter glass of cognac. Then the camera pulls back and the fancy chair sits in the middle of a filthy studio apartment with empty pizza boxes, Coke bottles and a bong on the table.
I can't begin to explain why I typed this.
hope they fix the Oh My Yogg! on Runed Orb never-ending the arcane spell sound, my ears hurt
same for shadow spells in warlock or librams in paladin
To add to this, I've had instances where an alternative spell would just not be chosen and cast, and it became a 1-mana counterspell, effectively.
try having it stack for several effect like fireball
The one time I noticed that nothing happened after I got yogg'd I looked at spell queue on the side and it turned out my spell had turned into Execute, which did nothing cause the minion in question was not damaged. It had failed to produce any noticable sounds or visual effects in the process though.
I guess the animation start and end triggers is defined post-cast, a fizzle would circumvent both triggers
Then what about fixing the bug with Ice Walker (hero power freeze target) and Reckless Apprentice (fire hero power at all enemies) not working?
Or am I missing something?
Since the ice walker states "target", it wont work if you yourself dont target it, it's not based on it doing damage with the hero power.
Like, if you use it as priest, it will heal, and still freeze the target.
